15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?

16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will dwell in them, And walk among them.
I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”

17 Therefore, “Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”

18 “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.”

O God, Our Help in Ages

our hope for years to come,
our shelter from the stormy blast,

MESSAGE FOR 13-09-22:-

In our Fire Scripture, Paul urges believers not to have any relationship unbelievers (2 Cor 6:14). Any relationship you have with any unbelievers may weaken your Christian commitment, integrity and standard with God, and this may also lead to backsliding. You are to avoid relationships that can force you to compromise your faith in God.

God wants the totality of your life. He does not want to share you with any idol. That is the reason why He said you should come out of the world and be separated. When you shun worldliness, God will be your Father as He has promised in 2 Cor 6:16-18. You cannot be in in the world and expect the blessings of God.

There are many benefits to enjoy when you come out of the world and come to God. First, you will be accepted into the family of God. The father of the prodigal son accepted him back when he repented and came back to him (Luke 15: 22, John 1: 12).

Secondly, coming back to God will give you assurance of eternal life with Christ (Rom 6: 23). Life without God is eternal death. Life with Christ is a new life that begins on earth and continues forever with God. What is your choice? Come back to God so that you can enjoy eternal life with Him.

Thirdly, God will give you rest from all your struggles, labour and suffering. Consider the following question: How is your relationship with God? Have you gone away from Him?

God created you to have fellowship with Him but if you have walked away from Him, you are missing out on the main reason you were created. It is time to come back to God.

The steps are very simple: repent of your sins, have godly sorrow for your sins and put away everything that takes the place of God in your life. Whatsoever you place first above God is an idol. Finally, commit yourself to serving the true and only God Almighty. God bless you, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Every power assigned to distract me, be bound, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every power assigned by the host of darkness to draw me away from eternal life, die, in the name of Jesus.

3. Holy Spirit, help me not to depart from the faith forever, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Any spirit of the world beckoning to me, I bind you, in the name of Jesus.

5. Any part of me thirsting for friendship with the world, receive divine deliverance, in the name of Jesus.

6. I reject the activities of the spirit of hypocrisy, in the name of Jesus.

7. By the power in the blood of Jesus, no lying spirit will have its way in my life, in the name of Jesus.
