Isaiah 29, Isaiah 30: 1-18, 2 Corinthians 12:12-21, Psalm 107: 1-9

Memory Verse: Matthew 11:28:-

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Motivational Quotes:

When you turn to God, you will discover He has been facing you all the time.

Prophetic word for 12/9/22:

Every demonic rope that is tying you down to the world, is broken now, in the name of Jesus.

Fire Scripture:1 Samuel 7:1-14:-

And the men of Kirjathjearim came, and fetched up the ark of the Lord, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the Lord.

2 And it came to pass, while the ark abode in Kirjathjearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord.

3 And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

4 Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the Lord only.

5 And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you unto the Lord.

6 And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the Lord, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the Lord. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.

7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.

8 And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the Lord our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.

9 And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the Lord: and Samuel cried unto the Lord for Israel; and the Lord heard him.

10 And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.

11 And the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Bethcar.

12 Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.

13 So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

14 And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the coasts thereof did Israel deliver out of the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.

Praise & Worhip

Christ Our Redeemer Died on the Cross

1 Christ our Redeemer died on the cross,

Died for the sinner, paid all his due;

Sprinkle your soul with the blood of the Lamb,

And I will pass, will pass over you.

Refrain:

When I see the blood,

When I see the blood,

When I see the blood,

I will pass, I will pass over you.

2 Chiefest of sinners, Jesus will save;

As He has promised, that He will do;

Wash in the fountain opened for sin,

And I will pass, will pass over you. (Refrain)

3 Judgment is coming, all will be there,

Each one receiving justly his due;

Hide in the saving sin-cleasing blood,

And I will pass, will pass over you. (Refrain)

4 O great compassion! O boundless love!

O loving kindness, faithful and true!

Find peace and shelter under the blood,

And I will pass, will pass over you. (Refrain)

NESSAGE FOR 12-09-22:-

A decision to come back to God will require a change from inside, which includes your thoughts, motives and desires. These are things that can turn you away from God, if you are not totally yielding to Him. Coming back to God will start from being honest about all that is going on in your head and in your heart.

In our Fire Scripture today, we read about the Israelites turning away from God Almighty and getting involved in idol worship. As a result, God forsook them. Samuel roused them to action by saying if they were trully sorry, they should do something about it.

Many times, we complain of our problems, even to God, but we refuse to change and do what God requires from us. Samuel told the people that they should return to the Lord and serve Him only. They were to get rid of their foreign gods, (1 Sam 7:3).

Beloved, today, idolatry is beyond serving the gods of wood and stone. Whatever holds first place in your life becomes your god. It can be money, position, success, material goods, husband, wife, children, etc. Anything that takes the place of God in your heart is an idol. There is no difference between your commitment to these material things or human beings and your commitment to idols of wood and stone.

The Lord alone is worthy of our worship. You must put away whatever represents strange gods in your life and come back to the Almighty God. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:17:-“Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you. And I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons snd daughters, saith the Lord  Almighty.”

This means you must totally separate yourself from the sinfùl nature of the world. This is the only way that God will accept you as His son or daughter.
