I am praying that thy Spirit

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Daniel 10:7-13

7. And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

8. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

9. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

10. And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

11. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

12. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

13. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

31/5/23 MESSAGE:

Today, we are looking at hindrances to answered prayers. While Daniel was fasting and praying, an intense battle was raging in the spiritual realm. The prince of the kingdom of Persia temporarily withstood Daniel from receiving God’s message from the angel. Because of this conflict, he had to wait twenty-one days for the revelation.

This Persian prince was not a human ruler, but a demon from satan’s kingdom. He was defeated only when Michael, Israel’s prince, came to help the angel.
Dearly beloved, evil forces in the spiritual realm can hinder answers to prayers like the one we read in today’s Fire scripture.

Paul says in the book of Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

The devil is so powerful that he can deceive, cause problems and sicknesses and black prayers from getting answers -like the case of Daniel who kept at it for twenty-one days (2 Cor. 4:4; Job 2:7). The devil can also hinder the righteous.

Zechariah 3:1 says, “And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.” Dear reader, there are many things we do that also help the devil to hinder our prayers. At times, we exercise doubt, unbelief and utter negative words after hot prayer sessions. We easily give up when it seems like the answer is not coming the way we expect it.

But Daniel did not give up and God sent reinforcement to help him. What happened here to Daniel is just a glimpse of the unseen battles going on in the spiritual realm. These conflicts affect the course of nations and individual lives, but they do not have ultimate control over people’s choices.

God’s people can be victorious over evil spiritual forces by applying God’s word and through prayer.

PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING

1. Every battle in the heavenlies involving me shall be won by my angel of blessings, in the name of Jesus.

2. Let God arise and let the power behind my battles be wasted. in the name of Jesus.

3. Any agent of darkness delaying the manifestation of my miracles, die, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. O God, give me prophetic dreams tonight, in the name of Jesus.

5. Any power on assignment to cage my life, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.

6. Powers in my father’s house waiting for me to fail shall wait forever, in the name of Jesus.

7. My Father, visit me in my prayer closet and shine Your light upon my situation, in the name of Jesus.
