Welcome to MFM Devotional, 30—12—23
PRAISE & WORSHIP:
1 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
that calls me from a world of care,
and bids me at my Father’s throne
make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
my soul has often found relief,
and oft escaped the tempter’s snare
by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
2 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
the joys I feel, the bliss I share
of those whose anxious spirits burn
with strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
where God my Savior shows his face,
and gladly take my station there,
and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
3 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
thy wings shall my petition bear
to him whose truth and faithfulness
engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since he bids me seek his face,
believe his word, and trust his grace,
I’ll cast on him my every care,
and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

30—12—23 PROPHETIC WORD:
THE ALMIGHTY GOD WHO DOES WONDROUS THINGS THAT ARE PAST FINDING OUT SHALL VISIT YOU TODAY, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Luke 21:5-18 [KJV]
5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
30—12—23 MESSAGE:
In today’s fire scripture, Jesus’ disciples asked Him what the signs of the end of times woud be. He highlighted some unpleasant and frightening signs: [1] Advent of false Christ [2] Wars and commotions, nations rising against nations and kingdoms rising against kingdoms. [3] Occurrence of great earthquakes, famines, pestilences and fearful sights and great signs from heaven. [4] Earthly rulers and kings shall persecute and imprison believers.
By these, the disciples knew that challenging times were ahead. We are at the last days and the perilous times are here. Will the Lord leave His followers hopeless and helpless? No He won’t. That is why He said prophetically in Luke 21:13 [today’s memory verse] that, “And it shall turn to for a testimony.”
That is, God who specializes in bringing the best out of the worst situations will turn a unpleasant experience that comes your way to an occasion of victory, deliverance, joy and testimony for you.
Beloved, although Job went through years of affliction, pain and terrible losses, he did not curse God or forsake Him. He stayed faithful to His Maker who turned his captivity around and restored to him twice what he had before.
Job’s bitter and painful experience turned for a testimony. That shall be your portion too in name of Jesus.
Beloved, I want you to meditate on Romans 8:32, “And we know that all things work together for them that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose.” Relate this powerful Scripture with Luke 21:13. Let them strengthen your faith and positively increase your expectation for a great turnaround from the Lord.
The same God that turned Jacob to Israel and answered the prayers of Jabez will turn every point of pain and sorrow in your life to points of comfort and celebration. You will laugh last, in the name of Jesus.
The water of Marah was bitter and unfit for human consumption at a point. With God’s encounter, the story of that water changed and it became potable.
Similarly, the land of Jericho was barren but through prophetic intervention it was healed. Every current trend in your life that is not pleasant shall be visited and made pleasant by the Lord, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. O God of signs and wonders, appear in my situation, in the name of Jesus.
2. Father! You are the Reverser of the irreversible, reverse every negative trend in my life to positive trend, in the name of Jesus.
3. The Unchangeable Changer, turn unpleasant situations in my life to positive testimonies, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. My Father! By Your power, turn my night to day, in the name of Jesus.
5. I declare myself unstoppable and indomitable, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father! Visit any bitter water in my life and turn it to sweet, in the name of Jesus.
7. Glory of the Living God, fill and envelope my life, in the name of Jesus.
