PRAISE & WORSHIP:

Sweet hour of prayer!
sweet hour of prayer!
that calls me from a world of care,
and bids me at my Father’s throne
make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
my soul has often found relief,
and oft escaped the tempter’s snare
by Thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer!

the joys I feel, the bliss I share
of those whose anxious spirits burn
with strong desires for Thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
where God my Savior shows His face,
and gladly take my station there,
and wait for Thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

20-03-23 MESSAGE:
There is a popular gospel song that says prayer is the master key. What this means is that prayer is the key that can open all doors, including the door of spiritual growth. Therefore, anyone who wishes to grow spiritually must be addicted to prayer. What is prayer? Simply put, prayer is communication with God. That is, talking to God and He talking back to you.

When we form the habit of praying all the time as the Bible admonishes us, then we get to know God the more and we develop a deeper relationship with Him.

2 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing. That is to say, do not stop praying.

A man of God called Smith Wigglesworth, in his answer to the question on how he was able to accomplish ceaseless praying, said he does not pray for more than 10 minutes and does not stay for more than 10 minutes without praying. It is the utmost desire of God that we have fellowship with Him, talk to Him and listen to His voice.

God actually enjoys fellowship with His children. The Bible talks about how God came to Adam and Eve in the cool of the day before and after the tragic fall. It is easy to believe then that He often fellowshipped with them at that same time of the day before the fall.

He couldn’t have withheld His presence from them before they sinned and suddenly come down to them after they had sinned. It must have been a tradi-tion, which unfortunately ended with the fall of man.

Our Lord Jesus Christ prayed always to the Father. If it was important for Him to pray, it must then be crucial to our spiritual journey with the Lord. Prayer does so much for us in our spiritual growth because it is through prayer that we know the mind of God and follow it, thereby being at peace.

PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Father Lord, give me the grace to pray, in the name of Jesus.

2. Let the anointing for a prayerful life fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.

3. Every enemy of prayer in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. Any power in my foundation that does not want me to pray, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.

5. Every spirit of laziness and slumber in the place of prayer working against me, die, in the name of Jesus.

6. My prayer altar, be revived by fire, in the name of Jesus.

7. Every anti-prayer power in my environment, die, in the name of Jesus.
