WELCOME to MFM Devotional, 24-09-22

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 57:14-21, Isaiah 58, Isaiah 59, Ephesians 3, Psalm 111:1-10.

PRAISE & WORSHIP:
1 Let all the world in ev’ry corner sing,
“My God and King!”
The heav’ns are not too high,
God’s praise may thither fly;
the earth is not too low,
God’s praises there may grow.
Let all the world in ev’ry corner sing,
“My God and King!”

2 Let all the world in ev’ry corner sing,
“My God and King!”
The church with psalms must shout:
no door can keep them out.
But, more than all, the heart
must bear the longest part.
Let all the world in ev’ery corner sing,
“My God and King!

MEMERY VERSE: Psalms 85:6
“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES:
Without revival, there will be no manifestation, and if you do not manifest, God’s people will remain in bondage.

PROPHETIC WORD for 24-9-22:
Let fresh fire for revival enter into your bones now, in the name of Jesus.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 57:15, Habakkuk 3:2:

Isaiah 57:15:-
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Habakkuk 3:2:-
O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

MESSAGE for 24/9/22:
Our memory verse for today asks a question, “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice? If there is no revival in the world, especially in these times that we find ourselves, we might end up in a state like the pagan Rome. This spiritual assessment of our world today is the insightful conclusion of Apostle Paul. His words are frightening if we take them seriously. Rome became a pagan state. We only need to read the first chapter of Paul’s epistle to the Romans to see the picture.

The fact is that there is a moral law left to the consequences of their own freely chosen course of action. They will go from bad to worse, unless this tendency is reversed by divine grace, So we read those words of doom: “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanliness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves… For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature… And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient” (Romans 1 :24, 26 and 28).

This is where revival comes in. When the tide of evil threatens to overwhelm the church, we know that the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against the enemy (Isaiah 59:19). Revival days are not normal days in the life of the church. They are the supernatural. They are the great days of the church when God manifests His presence overwhelmingly. They leave you with a profound realization of God’s greatness and of your own unworthiness and dependence on Him.

During revival, people are moved towards Christ. Many prayers that have gone unanswered for years are gloriously answered and often, the very atmosphere seems awesomely filled with God’s power. Christians recognise it as the holy presence of God. Sinners feel a fearsome awareness of God’s presence and their own sinfulness. God is the God of revival. Until Jesus comes again, let us cry for revival and He will answer us.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Wind of revival, blow upon me, in the name of Jesus.
