Welcome to MFM Devotional, 14/11/22

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezekiel 26, Ezekiel 27, Hebrews 12:1-13, Psalm 125:1-5

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 5:1-20 (KJV)
And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR 14/11/22:
TODAY, THE KING OF GLORY WILL MOVE YOUR LIFE TO A GREATER HEIGHT OF HIS GLORY, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

14 NOV 22 MESSAGE:
We have established the timeless truth that God, the Great Potter, is wiling to save, heal, restore and perfect individuals, families and nations that get marred or broken by sin and disobedience. The key to this is repentance. Today, we want to look more closely at the lives of individual Christians who need the help of the Great Potter.

Do you feel a failure in your Christian life? Do you see yourself as a broken and defiled vessel? Has the enemy sold you his lies and you have fallen prey to his deceits and disobeyed God? Do not commit suicide or go back into the world. The escape routes of alcoholism or drugs that the enemy is suggesting to you are death traps. I want you to take note of what Jeremiah learnt in the potter’s house – that God can refashion you into a new and glorious vessel.

Peter missed it but the Lord refashioned him. He became the foremost apostle of Pentecost. Don’t give up on yourself and don’t give up on God. His mercy endures forever.

Mary Magdalene was a product of God’s mercy. She also received the Potter’s restoring touch. Apostle Paul also had a life-changing encounter with the Great Potter; he was refashioned from being a persecutor and enemy of the Church to an extraordinary apostle and Kingdom builder.

The demoniac of Gadara got the touch of the Great Potter. The spirit of madness departed from him and he became an evangelist. The Bible says that he went to the Decapolis (ten cities) to share the gospel and proclaim the unparalleled love of God. Every encounter with the Great Potter produces divine turnaround. This shall be your portion today, in Jesus’ name.

Today, there are hundreds of cases of prostitutes, alcoholics, armed robbers, fraudsters, murderers and so on who received the Great Potter’s touch and are today fire-brand preachers, evangelists and ministry assets in God’s Kingdom. No matter how bad you think your case is, the God of salvation is willing to remould you to suit His purpose if you turn to him in repentance today.

Ask Him to make you anew right now, and stay still under His touch as he puts you back on to the wheel of His purpose this very day.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. My Father, have mercy upon me, in the name of Jesus.

2. Blood of Jesus avail and prevail for me, in the name of Jesus.

3. Father, let Your power fix every broken and defiled vessel in my life, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

1. Powers assigned to break and defile me, die, in the name of Jesus.

2. I receive the grace to move from strength to strength and from glory to glory, in the name of Jesus.

3. Father, give me a life-changing encounter today, in the name of Jesus.

4. My destiny, reject bewitchment, in the name of Jesus.
