The MESSAGE:

The bondage of slavery is a painful reality of the times we are in now. Who is a slave? A slave is a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey his owner without any choice. A slave is a person who is completely subservient to a dominating influence. Then the question can be asked: what is slavery? It is the condition of being enslaved, held, or owned as human property. It is to be in bondage to a superior power or authority.

A lot of people these days have been enslaved by forces seemingly greater than them. In fact, the devil is using as many means as possible these days to enslave people. It is disheartening that even many believers are victims of his enslavement. However, there are some facts you need to know about slaves, either spiritual or physical. Slaves can be lawful or unlawful (Isaiah 49:24).

Slaves can be homeborn or outborn (Jer. 2:14). Slaves do not have their own will. You are a slave to whoever you obey and whatever you serve (Rom. 6:16). A debtor is a slave to his creditor. One deep secret every Christian should know is that any time the devil is gaining the upper hand in your affairs, he is working out slavery. My concern here is to let you know that one can be enslaved spiritually and be fed from the dustbin of life till he recovers through the mercy of God.

Meanwhile, any time our relationship with our Maker – the Almighty God is broken, we are sold into slavery. And this relationship can be broken by sin, evil covenant, ungodly sexual intimacy, evil dedication, idolatrous practices, indiscipline, stealing, shedding of blood, and all other manifestation of the works of the flesh as listed in Galatians 5:19-21.

How do you escape the bondage of slavery? You must submit the totality of your life to Jesus. You must renounce all past involvements in satanism, idol worship, traditionalism and sinful habits. You must restitute all materials of the devil in your possession.

You must reverse and renounce all oaths and vows existing between you and the devil or his agents. You also need to go for a comprehensive deliverance programme. Finally, you must continue to read your Bible, pray always and follow the pathway of holiness.

PRAYER POINTS

MORNING
1. Jesus Christ, the Yoke Breaker, break every evil chain of slavery binding me to problems, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every satanic agent pushing me to the wrong person, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

3. Let all slavery in my life be abolished by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. Every chain of darkness tying me down and preventing me from moving forward, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

5. Any slave master that says he will not let me go unless he denies me of my promotion, be roasted by fire, in the name of Jesus.

6. Let the power of the Most High that took the Israelites out of Egypt take me out of slavery, in the name of Jesus.

7. By the power that brought Jonah out of the belly of the fish, O God pull me out of the hand of the strongman, in Jesus Name, Amen!
