20 But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the Lord liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.

21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?

22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.

23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.

24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.

25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.

26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR 11-11-22:
Your life shall be a true reflection of Christlikeness and bear good fruits abundantly, in the name of Jesus.

11-11-22 MESSAGE:

We have seen copious examples of individuals who could not reach their goals in life and enjoy all-round fulfilment because of certain character disorder they did not correct. Apart from the examples we examined from the Bible, there are other examples outside the Bible. Literary writers like William Shakespeare and Thomas Hardy also revealed in their works how negative character destroys lives. Shakespeare’s characters like Macbeth and Julius Caesar readily come to mind.

Thomas Hardy presents a similar case of tragic fall as a result of negative character through the protagonist called Michael Henchard, in his prose work titled “The Mayor of Casterbridge.” The simple lesson in all these cases is that any character deficit you do not deliberately confront and remove from your life will deal a terrible blow to your destiny one day. All these things are written for your learning.

How can you develop a godly character? We shall answer this important question today. First, you must be born again. With genuine salvation, the Holy Spirit will come to dwell in your heart and help you to develop godly character and demonstrate Christlikeness always. The grace to have a godly character is not available for unbelievers. So, new birth is necessary for you.

Second, you must be a word addict. The power to be like Jesus and imitate Him in your thoughts, words and deeds is imputed to you as you read and live by the word of God daily. Readers, hearers and doers of God word will have godly character as the reward of their spiritual exercise or effort. Third, as a believer who wants to exhibit godly character consistently, you should live a life of holiness and righteousness.

This step will enable you to enjoy God’s presence and power as well as to exhibit His character. Fourth, you should be a prayer addict. The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. You can pray negative character out of your life and pray godly character into your life.

Prayer works wonder for true children of God. Fifth, you should befriend the Holy Spirit and get His baptism. The Bible clearly shows that good characters are the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

I encourage you to pray the nine fruit of the Holy Spirit into your life. You will become unstoppable!

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. I will reach my goal, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

2. Father, by Your mercy, make me Chrislike, in the name of Jesus.

3. I declare that holiness is my watchword and lifestyle, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

1..My Father, let each fruit of the Spirit find maximum expression in my life, in the name of Jesus.

2. Father, multiply Your grace towards me, in the name of Jesus.

3. O God, open the door of favour and breakthrough for me, in the name of Jesus.

4. I accept that it is my responsibility to develop my character and God will help me to do so, in the name of Jesus.
