Industrialisation minus electricity, how feasible!

Can Nigeria actualise industrialization with 4,000mgw?

Do not say I told you!

That allcitynews.ng is asking can industrialisation minus electricity be feasible!

That Federal Government sold off Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) to some people or group may no longer be fresh news.

That Federal Government is nursing the idea of industrialisation may also no longer be fresh news.

Now the hot and refreshing news is that the industrialisation would be a mirage without addressing the issue of regular supply of electricity.

Hence, the General Secretary of National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), Comrade Joe Ajaero, while addressing journalists recently in Lagos, expressed his surprise over where the over N1.7 trillion pumped into the sector by FG has gone to.

“Despite the over N1.7 trillion pumped into the sector, no singular generation plant or any other tangible structure has been built by the investors.

“Nigeria has remained on 4,000 megawatts since when the PHCN was privatised till now.”

Baffled by the near-zero electricity supply, allcitynews.ng discovered that countries like China is generating 5,682,000,000mgw, USA. 4,324,000,000mgw, India. 1,368,000,000mgw, Japan. 995,000,000mgw, UK 338,000,000mgw, but Nigeria is only 4,000mgw.
