As Lagos-Ibadan Expressway experienced fresh traffic today, 20 October 2022, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised motorists and public to use alternative routes on Lagos-Ibadan expressway due to a tanker explosion this morning at Araromi town before the Interchange.
The Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun State Command, Mrs Florence Okpe who confirmed this in a statement in Abeokuta said the incident involved a petrol-laden tanker and a bus.
Mrs Okpe said rescue agencies involving Trace, FRSC, Ogun State Fire Service, Police and NSCDC were presently at the scene managing the situation to prevent escalation of the unfortunate incident.
She advised motorists to make use of alternative routes to avoid unnecessary delays
