MEMORISE: There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12

OPEN HEAVEN 7/5/22 BIBLE READING PROVERBS 3:5-8

5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Happy Weekend beloved, thank you for joining in today’s devotional.

Do you know that many things in our lives are a product of our decisions? The way our life will turn out eventually is also a product of the decisions we’ll make.

Decisions are complex sometimes because what seems right on the surface my not be. What’s the best way to make decisions? Find out in the message below.

Don’t keep the word to yourself. Share this blessing with other believers by saving this website (rccgonline.org) and sharing the link by using the share button below. And don’t forget to go through the prayers and declarations of the day.

Today’s Powerful Confession: I confess today I am from above, therefore, I am above the systems of this world. The vices of this cosmos has nothing on me.  All elements of nature are fashioned to work together for my good, because I love the Lord, and I am called according to His purpose. I am an able, competent, and unstoppable minister of the Gospel! My life gravitates upwards and forward only, from glory to glory in Jesus’ name, Amen Hallelujah!

OPEN HEAVEN 7/5/22 MESSAGE

In life, we make choices every day. There are little choices and there are major ones. The Bible reading for today says we should not lean on our own understanding in making any choice at all.

For example, the choice of passing a particular route on your way to work or wherever you are going should not be made by you alone.

Ask, Lord, which route should I take as I go out now? Your little choices must be committed into the hands of God. If little choices should be committed into Gods hands, then how much more major ones.

The choice of which school to apply to, which organisation to work for, which neighbourhood to live in and so on, can have far-reaching consequences on our lives.

For example, it was during my undergraduate days that I met a lecturer who decided to supervise me for my Masters degree in the University of Lagos.

Thus, I did my masters at Unilag, and it was while I was there that I became born again in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, joined the workforce of the Church and eventually became the General Overseer as God had ordained it.

Thank God that He ordered my steps right, even when I was not yet born again. Now that I am born again, He has been faithful to guide me aright all through, even up to now.

The choice of what school to attend or what organisation to work for can end up determining who you marry. The choice of which country to settle in can determine if you will fulfil your destiny or not.

Our memory verse today shows clearly that wrong decisions can lead to very grave repercussions. We need Gods guidance for us to be able to make the right decisions (Proverbs 14:12).

According to 2 Corinthians 4:18 , what you see in the physical is temporal; it is in the spirit that you get the real picture of things.

Jesus Christ said in John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

As a true child of God, you have the Holy Spirit within you. Whenever He prompts you to take the right decision, make sure you follow His lead so that He can take you to that great destiny that God has prepared for you.

OPEN HEAVEN 7/5/22 PRAYER POINT

Holy Spirit, guide me in all my choices and give me the grace to always listen to You, in Jesus name.

Thank you for reading today’s devotional Beloved.

Make the decision to be a contributor to the advancement of God’s Kingdom in one way or another. Live your life daily mindful of the purposes and plan of God.

OPEN HEAVEN 7 MAY 2022 HYMN:

WILL YOUR ANCHOR HOLD IN THE STORMS OF LIFE

1. Will your anchor hold in the storms of life
When the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,
Will your anchor drift, or firm remain?

CHORUS:
We have an anchor that keeps the soul
Steadfast and sure while the billows roll;
Fastened to the Rock which cannot move,
Grounded firm and deep in the Saviour’s love!

2. It is safely moored, ‘twill the storm withstand,
For ’tis well secured by the Saviour’s hand,
And the cables, passed from His heart to mine,
Can defy the blast through strength divine.

3. It will firmly hold in the straits of fear,
When the breakers have told the reef is near; Though the tempest rage and the wild winds blow,
Not an angry wave shall our bark o’erflow.

4. It will surely hold in the flood of death,
When the waters cold, chill our latest breath,
On the rising tide it can never fail, While our hopes abide within the veil!

5. When our eyes behold, through the gathering night
The city of gold, our harbour bright,
We shall anchor fast by the heavenly shore,
With the storms all past for evermore.
