TOPIC FOR TODAY 22-12-21: You have dominion

 

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 John 1-5

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 1:26 – 28

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 8:6

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: To exist in dominion means to live life the way you want and not the way the devil or the circumstances of life want you to live.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: I prophesy that the realm of dominion is your realm from today, in the name of Jesus.

WEDNESDAY MESSAGE:
Dominion means to bear the rule, to exercise authority and to impose your place over opposition. It means to be in charge. It is existence in the realm of triumph and victory. So, to be in dominion is to be a stranger to defeat because dominion gives a person the power to exert control over his territory.

From the Scripture above, you see that when a person has dominion, he gains the capacity to rule. On the contrary, when a person lacks dominion, he becomes a victim of oppression. Reigning is the picture of dominion. Many years ago, Paul Yonggi Cho was trying to cast out a demon from someone. He said he did everything he could but the devil remained.

All of a sudden, he got a flash of light in his spirit and he told the demon, “Demon, you have to go out now. Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ defeated you on my behalf and l stand in his shoes to ask you to get out.” The demon replied with something like, “Hold on, hold on. l will go, but please do not tell anyone this secret because many people are not aware of it.” Then the demon left.

If you are not in power, you are not in charge. Jesus was dominion personified. You need power to live a hurt-free life. Beloved, it is the knowledge of whose you are and who you are that gives you dominion in life. How can you access dominion?

Be born again (John 3:3, John 1:12). Take hold of the word of God (Psalm 110:2; Ecclesiastes 8:4). Have faith in God. Jesus said that if you have faith you will say to a sycamine tree, be plucked by your root and be planted in the sea and it shall obey you (Luke 17:6).

Finally, you can access dominion through effectual fervent prayer (Psalm 63; Isaiah 66:7- 8). The bottom line is that God gave mankind dominion over all the earth and everything that creepeth on it. You have dominion over them through the authority of God’s word.

I challenge you to make a decision to do what Jesus commanded you to do and let your faith in God’s word be manifest in your life daily.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Sin shall not have dominion over me, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus, I receive power to break evil yoke off my neck, in the name of Jesus.

3. Dominion power, fall upon my life, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Dark dominion over my life and destiny, die, in the name of Jesus

5. Let the lordship of wicked elders in my life perish, in the name of Jesus

6. I receive power to exercise dominion over evil powers of my father’s house, in the name of Jesus.

7. I receive divine dominion to rule, reign and be victorious over dark powers, in the name of Jesus.

Beloved Reader, Remember! John 3:3 says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless ye are born again, ye cannot see the kingdom of God.”
