MFM 2024: OUR YEAR OF OPEN DOORS & DIVINE SPEED

MFM Topic, Fri 29 March 2024: the perfect sacrifice (2)

Beloved! Remember Bridges and walls are made with the same materials. But though Bridge joins the people, But Wall divides the people. Are you a Bridge that link people together or you are a Wall that separates people.

Welcome to MFM Devotional, 29 March 24

PRAISE & WORSHIP:
O worship the King all glorious above,
and gratefully sing his power and his love:
our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days,
pavilioned in splendour and girded with praise.

2. O tell of his might and sing of his grace,
whose robe is the light, whose canopy space;
his chariots of wrath the deep thunder-clouds form,
and dark is his path on the wings of the storm.

3. The earth, with its store of wonders untold,
Almighty, your power has founded of old;
established it fast, by a changeless decree,
and round it has cast, like a mantle, the sea.

4. Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;
it streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,
and sweetly distils in the dew and the rain.

5. We children of dust are feeble and frail –
in you do we trust, for you never fail;
your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end!
our maker, defender, redeemer, and friend.

6. O measureless Might, unchangeable Love,
whom angels delight to worship above!
Your ransomed creation, with glory ablaze,
in true adoration shall sing to your praise!

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
1 Samuel 29, 1 Samuel 30, 1 Samuel 31; 1 Peter 5; 2 Peter 1

MEMORY VERSE: Hebrews 9: 28:-“so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Consider the work of Calvary a perfect work. It is perfect in every aspect, and is able to make you perfect.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR 29 MARCH: The perfect work of Calvary shall perfect all that concerns your life and destiny, in the name of Jesus.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Heb. 9:1-18

Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

29 MARCH MESSAGE:
In continuation of yesterday’s discussion on the perfect sacrifice that Jesus made. Let us see through the scriptures what it used to be and what Jesus did to bring about this change that brought total freedom to man from the shackles of sins.

If it was not for this perfect sacrifice, our earthly priests would still have continued in the periodic sacrifice to cleanse both themselves and their fellow men. Pause and ask yourself, how could another sinful man redeem a fellow sinner?

For how long will this continue, when we all have sinned from Adam and fallen short of God’s glory? It took a Bigger and Better Sacrifice to overrule the yearly activities of atonement by
the blood of animals, and other offerings under the law, after which the priest and his congregation return to their sins. Thank You Jesus!

Jesus, our High Priest had no sins but made Himself a sin for our sake, lived and died for us; since He has felt and understood our weaknesses and human frailties. He became the second Adam to outdo the failure of the first Adam. Since the Father is so delighted in Him, there could be no other or better Mediator between God and man than Jesus, His Beloved Son.

God in His infinite mercies accepted the Priest and the Sacrifice that have no blemish; this made way for us before Him, to accept our pleas and show us mercy whenever we come to Him in repentance (Hebrews 4:14-16).

I believe you are following these deep biblical revelations which should make you to desire a deeper richer intimacy with God, having realised this new covenant by the blood of Jesus.

The realisation of eternal truth should make you more committed in your confession as a Christian who knows the value of our redemption and reconciliation that we received through Jesus Christ – the One who gave His life a ransom for many through the shedding of His Blood on the Cross of Calvary (Ephesians 2:13-16).

This is not about religion or attending church. It is about your faith in God through Christ. It is about life life eternal. May we continue to receive the fullness of what this Perfect Sacrifice has done and is doing us, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS:-
