BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: JEREMIAH 21; JEREMIAH 22; ACTS 8; ACTS 9.
WORSHIP & PRAISE:
1 Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
o’er the world’s tempestuous sea;
guard us, guide us, keep us, feed us,
for we have no help but thee;
yet possessing every blessing,
if our God our Father be.
2 Saviour, breathe forgiveness o’er us:
all our weakness thou dost know;
thou didst tread this earth before us,
thou didst feel its keenest woe;
lone and dreary, faint and weary,
through the desert thou didst go.

fill our hearts with heavenly joy,

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm.1: 1-6 {KJV}
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
11\10\23 MESSAGE:
The Psalmist clearly outlined the benefits of being in the right company as against the lot of those in the wrong company. Both sides are laid out before you. It is now left for you to determine which way to go. As humans, we have a right to make our choices. Only that we are expected to make the right ones that will favour our lives and destinies.
Starting with verse 2, the man that moves with the godly shall be blessed because first, he delights in God’s word. The word of God is his compass. He studies and meditates on it day and night, such that the word dwells richly in him (Colossians 3:16). He lives by the law of the Lord and his prosperity is certain as written in Joshua 1:8. He will surely have good success. No wonder the Bible compares him to the tree planted by the water side. Such a tree never lacks nutrients and freshness, but is ever-fruitful in and out of season. This man shall prosper in whatever he does! This is an all-round blessing.
In the same vein, today’s memory verse tells us that the path of the righteous man shines brighter and brighter each day. Why? This is because such a man delights in doing the will of God. He is obedient to the word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. According to verse 6, the Lord watches over his way to preserve and sustain him. On the contrary, the ungodly man’s way leads to destruction. The Psalmist considers his reward to be like chaff that lacks substance and equals to nothing. Such men are enemies of God and their lives cannot be fruitful nor be pleasing unto God.
Here, beloved, you have a choice to make, either to keep off this evil company or remain at the expense of your blessedness. 1John 2:15 warns, “love not the world…” To love the world is enmity with God. Once your friends and associates are not on the same page with you. spiritually, neither are you positively influenced, then you need to disconnect from the unprofitable association without wasting time. Delay may be too tragic!
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Divine fruitfulness. my life is available, enter, in the name of Jesus.
2. O God, arise and delete my name from the register of the ungodly, in the name of Jesus.
3. Power to live by the word of God all the days of my life, possess me now, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. I receive power to please the Lord in all my ways, in the name of Jesus.
5. I reject the spirit of error. I shall not fall away from the divine agenda, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father Lord, make me a spectacular wonder in my generation, in the name of Jesus.
7. My life, become a divine attraction by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
