MFM Topic for TUE 29\08\23:-
hallmarks of faithful servants of God {2}

THE GOD OF SURPRISES, THE GOD OF SUDDENLY WILL APPEAR IN YOUR LIFE WITH UNCOMMON BREAKTHROUGHS, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

Welcome to MFM Devotional 29\08\23

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 1 – 2; Matthew 11 – 12.

PRAISE & WORSHIP
1 Thy way, not mine, O Lord,
however dark it be;
lead me by thine own hand,
choose out the path for me.

2 Smooth let it be or rough,
it will be still the best;
winding or straight, it leads
right onward to thy rest.

3 I dare not choose my lot;
I would not if I might:
choose thou for me, my God,
so shall I walk aright.

4 The kingdom that I seek
is thine, so let the way
that leads to it be thine,
else I must surely stray.

5 Take thou my cup, and it
with joy or sorrow fill,
as best to thee may seem;
choose thou my good and ill.

6 Choose thou for me my friends,
my sickness or my health;
choose thou my cares for me,
my poverty or wealth.

7 Not mine, not mine, the choice
in things or great or small;
be thou my guide, my strength,
my wisdom, and my all

AS YOU START YOUR DAY BY SEEKING FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, ALL OTHER THINGS YOU NEED THIS DAY, 29 TUESDAY 2023 SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU IN JESUS NAME {MATT 6:33}.

MEMORY VERSE: Mark 10:45
For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Real servants don’t try to use God for their purposes. They let God use them for His purposes.

29-8-23 PROPHETIC WORD:
I command the fire of God to consume anything the enemy has planted in your life to disqualify you from being God’s true servant, in the name of Jesus.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 25: 14-30 {KJV}

14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

29-8-23 MESSAGE:

Yesterday, we examined two hallmarks of true servants of God and closed with the admonition that you examine yourself and see if you are one. Today, we shall look at more of those distinguishing characteristics of true servants of God.

The third hallmark is that true servants of God do their best with what they have, wherever they are. They do not wait for a perfect timing, perfect tools or situation before they serve God.

They use what they have per time and trust the Lord to bless their effort, and He always does. Colossians 3:23-24 underscores this point, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Also, true servants of God are faithful to their ministry. They are responsible, trustworthy and dependable. They demonstrate good attitude towards work. They fulfil their responsibilities, keep their promises and complete their commitments.

They do not quit when they get discouraged. It is disheartening that faithful servants that God can truly count on are rare to find today. Men and women who are truly faithful servants of God do not retire from active service to God. They commit themselves to life-long service.

If you are true and faithful in your service to the Lord, He will say to you, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Matthew 25:21).

In addition, faithful servants of God inspire others to be faithful by their exemplary lifestyle of devotion to God’s service and sacrificial living. More so, faithful servants are unquestioningly, promptly and completely obedient to God’s commandments. They are also Christ-like and consistent in character. Humility, self- sacrifice and genuine love are their hallmarks.

I pray that the Lord will make you His faithful servant to the end, in the name of Jesus.

Beloved, pray this prayer: Father, give me the heart of a servant, tender and faithful and true. Fill me with love, then use me, O Lord, so that the world can see You, in the name of Jesus.
