FIRE SCRIPTURE: Acts 3:1-10 (KJV)
1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

THE RESOURCES OF HEAVEN IN YOUR LIFE SHALL NOT BE WASTED, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

13\7\23 MESSAGE:

When Jesus called His disciples, He didn’t say to them, “Follow me; I will make you Arch- Bishop, nor Superintendent, nor Most Senior Apostle.” He said He would make them fishers of men. Matthew 4:19 says, “And He saith unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Evangelism is not an afterthought. It is a channel of becoming a disciple. This year, I encourage you to aspire spiritual growth by ensuring you talk to someone about Christ daily. Act 1:8 says ‘but ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.’

Many professing Christians do not know that God has a purpose for their lives. Real Christians are created in Christ Jesus unto good works, not saved so they can stay home or work on Sunday. One of their good works is to preach Jesus (Ephesians 2:10).

Acquiring the power of the Holy Spirit is useless when you are not putting it into proper use, and one of the usefulness of God’s power is to witness to others. Do you want to grow as a Christian? Do you want your spiritual level to change? Do you want to be closer to God and live above sin?

Then ensure you talk to someone about Christ every day. Your participation in evangelism can be through sharing of tracts, groaning in prayer for lost souls and supporting mission and evangelism with your resources. Ensure you participate in all evangelism activities that may be introduced by your church this year.

Beloved, don’t miss the opportunity to make heaven happy and the reward attached to it. In Luke 15:7, Jesus said, “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

As you make evangelism your priority this year, I pray that the Lord will beautify your life with signs and wonders, in the name of Jesus.

MORNING

1. Power for effective evangelism, come upon me now, in the name of Jesus.

2. Holy Ghost, overshadow my life now, in the name of Jesus.

3. Holy Spirit teach me new strategies for soulwinning, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Power to do exploit for God, come upon me now, in the name of Jesus.

5. My spiritual eyes, open by fire, in the name of Jesus.

6. You dream of vanities, I forbid you in my dream tonight, in the name of Jesus.

7. In my sleep tonight, O Lord my Father, appear, in the name of Jesus.
