PROPHETIC WORD FOR 5/3/23:
I DECREE DOOM AGAINST YOUR ADVERSARIES TODAY, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

05/03/23 MESSAGE:

The word of God is eternally true. The assurance and comforting power of the word is alive today and forever. Today’s memory verse, Philippians 1:28, commands us, “And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.” The Amplified Version reads, “And do not [for a moment] be frightened or intimidated in anything by your opponents and adversaries, for such [constancy and fearlessness] will be a clear sign (proof and seal) to them of [their impending] destruction, but [a sure token and evidence) of your deliverance and salvation, and that from God.”

The verse above is a true reflection of the present times. We are living in difficult times and there are indications that it may get even more difficult. We are reminded also of the tragic world situation that we are in; violence on our streets, sin on the increase, evil multiplying and so on.

Many are departing from the faith that was once and for all delivered to us by Christ and His disciples. Just as the Christians at Philippi were living in perilous times, so are we. That is why Paul’s instruction in this epistle is particularly relevant to the present, looking at the global situation.

Paul encourages Christians to live with great courage, rather than in fear. Even though the Philippian believers were not facing the same level of persecution as Paul, they faced opposition in diverse ways. Christians throughout history have experienced every level of intimidation and different levels of oppression.

It is therefore not a new thing. As encouraged by Paul, don’t get depressed, speaking words of depression or wearing a depressed look, neither stay around to feed your mind with fear and sorrow. But rejoice and praise God for His great plan of redemption. Rejoice because you are part of God’s eternal plan, a joint heir with Christ.

Rejoice, because Jesus has overcome the world and the devil. Simply claim your victory that has been won, sealed and settled. When you rejoice in the face of wrong circumstances, refusing to be terrified by your adversaries, that is to them “an evident token of perdition”. The fearlessness you show on your face, is proof of their doom and defeat and proof of your salvation and victory: Alleluja!

David refused to be intimated with the threats of Goliath. Death and grave could not hold Jesus captive. He arose unto victory! No matter what comes, remember that victory is already sure Therefore, refused to be terrified by your enemies’ actions or words.

The righteous is bold as a lion!
