PRAISE & WORSHIP:
1 I need Thee ev’ry hour,
Most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine
Can peace afford.
Refrain:
I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;
Ev’ry hour I need Thee;
Oh, bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.
2 I need Thee ev’ry hour,
Stay Thou nearby;
Temptations lose their pow’r
When Thou art nigh. [Refrain]
3 I need Thee ev’ry hour,
In joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide,
Or life is vain. [Refrain]
4 I need Thee ev’ry hour,
Teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises
In me fulfill. [Refrain]
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Judges 13–15; Luke 6:27–49
MEMORY VERSE:
Proverbs 28:13 – He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Past that is left unaddressed can do so much damage to your today, even your tomorrow.
01-04-23 PROPHETIC WORD:
THE HAND OF THE LORD SHALL CORRECT ALL PAST ERRORS IN YOUR LIFE AND PREPARE YOU FOR A GREATER FUTURE, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
FIRE SCRIPTURE:
Genesis 32:3-12 [KJV]
3 And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
4 And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now:
5 And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.
6 And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.
7 Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;
8 And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.
9 And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the Lord which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:
10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.
11 Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.
12 And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
MESSAGE 01/04/23:
A careless and mismanaged yesterday will affect your present and future years in life. That is what we call evil carry-over in deliverance. It simply means you have left some issues unattended to or unresolved in your past, and now the consequences are manifesting in your life.
The truth is that it becomes often more difficult when you leave these evils, negative trends, and errors of the past uncorrected or broken relationships unrestored. The weight and consequences can be so grave that they can rob you of your peace, hinder your progress and amputate your break-throughs. Worse still, it can lead to mental, emotional and spiritual afflictions. The best thing, therefore, is to confront them with the power of God and get them resolved.
Consider Jacob in today’s Fire Scripture. He had been living away from his past for many years. He cheated on his brother and collected the blessings due to him. The crux of his ungodly tactics for many years was to outshine his elder brother. To make matters worse, his mother was the evil accomplice that aided him to fully accomplish this sinister motive.
The game looked interesting at the beginning, but soon became a serious setback in his later years. For him to proceed, there was Esau, his brother, his past. To meet Esau, he started scheming as usual.
Unfortunately, his human gimmicks would not work this time. Even God was waiting to encounter him in a way that he would not remain the same again.
Are you like Jacob? Stop living in denial. Enough of the façade! What are you still grappling with in your past, and it is hitting hard on your present?
It is never too late to address it now.
You cannot hide from your sins; your sins shall find you out. Cain was found out by the crying blood of his brother. The same happened to Jacob, who thought it was over. Unfortunately, in spite of his achievements, Esau was waiting for him!
According to John 8:36, “Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” As a Christian, you have an opportunity to cry to God in the name of Jesus, and He will show you mercy and deliver you from the evil grip of your past.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Pray a prayer of confession and repentance. Confess and repent of
all sins of the past.

EVENING
4. Powers that want to use my past to torment me, You are liars, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. I declare that Jesus has set me free. No evil power can hold me captive, in the name of Jesus.
6. By the awesome power of God, I am set free from all errors and bondage of the past, in the name of Jesus.
