MEMORY VERSE: Romans 12:1:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
The best way to worship is to become a living sacrifice and make your body His holy temple.

28/7/23 PROPHETIC WORD:
I pray that iniquity shall not separate you from God and your worship shall not become abomination, in the name of Jesus.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 2 Cor. 6:15-20

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

28/7/23 MESSAGE:

What are the things that defile the body? They range from filthy thoughts, filthy imaginations, filthy communication and every kind of immorality. These are the things done by those that are yet to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Should a child of God be involved in such practices? Unfortunately, some do at the detriment of their lives and salvation.

You need to cry to God today if you are openly or secretly involved in these. God can still be gracious to you. But he that covers his sins shall not prosper.
All sexual pollution of different dimensions: masturbation, bestiality, homosexuality, lesbianism, prostitution at different levels and manners etc. defile the human body. These immoralities carry with them their accompanying demons to ensure that they keep their victims in bondage.

How would you explain a child of God who keeps falling in and out of sexual sins, romancing sin with impunity? These are besetting sins, sins that eat slowly into its victim to steal, kill and destroy! What a disgrace to the Almighty! Jesus drove away the sellers and buyers in the Temple of God. Why? They had converted God’s Temple to a market place (Matt 21:12-17).

In the same vein, the devil organises a satanic shopping mall, using these evil practices as baits to tempt and get his victim hooked. The result is destruction of destinies, affliction of different kinds and possibly untimely death. What of those who engage in drinking alcohol, smoking different kinds of things and deeply involved in doing drugs.

All these acts will defile the body and ultimately destroy the soul! Have you thought of those who pretend to be holy but behind the scene are addicted to these vices? Secret sins! Some call it trending”. This is a serious matter! The devil is on an end time mission to harvest the souls of men, especially the young ones before they become too serious with God.

Sadly, older ones are becoming masters in secret sins and destructive habits. Remember, once the Spirit of God departs, the incividual is instantly disconnected from the divine source and life becomes miserable.

Joseph knew this secret of the devil. He didn’t wait to plead, negotiate or placate Mrs. Potiphar, He fled! Even the Bible counsels us, young and old, ministers and laity, to flee all sexual immorality! Nobody is too spiritual to become a victim. Staying too long in the place of pollution can cause eternal damage.

Do you desire to remain a vessel unto honour for the Lord? Then flee all filthiness of the body, soul and spirit. Seck the cleansing power of God by the blood of Jesus. Desire to feed regularly on the word of God so much that it dwells in you richly and is able to purify your life (Ps.119:9). Refuse to give in to the devil. He is the tempter but Christ in you is the hope of glory.

Pray for the infilling power of the Holy Spirit. As you walk in the Spirit you will not fulfil the lusts of the flesh.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING:
1. Confess every thought or act of defilement. Repent and ask God for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus.

2. Blood of Jesus, set me free from slavery to unrighteousness. Let secret sins in my life expire and die, in the name of Jesus.

3. Holy Ghost fire, make my body too hot for agents of defilement, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING:
4. I receive power to hate sin with passion, in the name of Jesus.

5. Destructive habits in my life die, die, die, in the name of Jesus.

6. Power to remain pure and undefiled, come upon me now by fire, in the name of Jesus.

7. Lord Jesus, help me to remain in the way of righteousness all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus.
