BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 10, Deuteronomy 11, Deuteronomy 12, 2 Corinthians 10, 2 Corinthians 11

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm 8:1-9 (KJV)

1 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

MEMORY VERSE:
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” – Genesis 1:26

PROPHETIC WORD FOR 24-02-23:
NO POWER SHALL OVERWHELM YOU AS YOU WALK IN DOMINION THIS YEAR, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

24/02/23 MESSAGE:

God never intended (us) believers to live in defeat or subjugation. He destined us to rule. That is why He gave us kingdom authority or dominion rule. In Genesis 1:26 (today’s memory verse) and in Psalm 8:5-6, the word of God affirms that God gave man dominion over all the works of His hand, and placed all things under man’s feet.

Dominion can be described as power, authority or control over something or someone. It was Adam’s birthright and pleasure. However, Adam sinned against God and lost his dominion. God in His mercy restored dominion to man through Christ Jesus. Colossians 2:15 says, “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

Similarly, dominion refers to man’s rule and responsibility to bring creation to order. God fashioned us to share His own authority over His creation. We are His purpose partners and co-labourers. Dominion therefore is tied to responsibility.

Let us now examine what you need to do to walk in dominion. First, you should be born again and know who you are in Christ. You are a joint-heir with Christ and he has delegated His authority to you. You are occupying till He comes and all things are yours. Second, You must live in complete obedience.

That is the key to deepening your relationship with Him to the level of intimacy. Third, you must be a word addict. You must study God’s word daily, meditate in it, memorise it and live by it daily. The word of God is, in fact, the believer’s sword of the Spirit and veritable weapon of spiritual warfare. In addition, you must be a prayer warrior. Pray in understanding; pray even more in the spirit and praise God continually. Finally, to walk in dominion, you must have faith in God.

When you fulfil the foregoing conditions, you will be fruitful, you will multiply, you will replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion. This privilege and inheritance were bequeathed to you graciously by the Almighty God. If you are not enforcing dominion and exercising the authority God has given you, you need to pray.

Arise, pray and begin to enforce your God-given dominion. You are created and saved to rule!

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Father, I thank You for the salvation of my soul, in the name of Jesus.

2. By Your power, O Lord, I have dominion over devils, in the name of Jesus.

3. By Your authority, O Lord, I have dominion over witches and wizards, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

1. By virtue of my position in Christ, I have dominion over sin, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every stumbling block to my walking in dominion, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

3. I subdue the powers of darkness assigned to fight against me, in the name of Jesus

4. I shall not be disgraced in any area of my life, in the name of Jesus.
