PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY 24/2/22:

The Lord shall surround you with good and peaceful people, in the Name of Jesus.

FIRE SCRIPTURE:
Matthew 18:15-17

15 “If your brother or sister in God’s family does something wrong, go and tell them what they did wrong. Do this when you are alone with them. If they listen to you, then you have helped them to be your brother or sister again. 16 But if they refuse to listen, go to them again and take one or two people with you. Then there will be two or three people who will be able to tell all that happened. 17 If they refuse to listen to them, tell the church. And if they refuse to listen to the church, treat them as you would treat someone who does not know God or who is a tax collector.

The MESSAGE for 24 Feb:

Conflict is common to man. As long as we relate as humans, there will surely be moments of disagreement. These differences may vary in nature and occurrence. Sometimes, it comes so lightly and gets resolved within the shortest time possible. At other times, it can get out of hand, and may take a longer time to resolve. The parties involved get hurt and find it difficult to come back to the normal level of their relationship so easily.

The Church is not immune to conflicts, neither are Christians. Rather, we are called to resolve the conflicts amicably and get reconciled and restored, if truly we are to continue in the same mind as children of God. Failure to resolve our differences may lead to some ungodly situations that will not only hurt our fellow brethren but equally cause us to offend God.

God has called us to forgive others as He has forgiven us. Refusal to forgive is not only harmful to us, but most seriously, it is a sin of rebellion and disobedience against God. Oh, you say in your mind, “If only you know how deeply I am hurt! How can I forgive someone who has betrayed and hurt me so much?” These and more are the thoughts of our hearts when we are at loggerheads with our fellow men. Many people often struggle to resolve their differences and let go. This is not the mind of Christ!

Remember, Jesus went through it all. He felt the pain of offences, betrayal, disappointment and all. He knows how we feel at such moments, but does not approve of unforgiveness or unresolved conflicts. In fact, you must get your conflicts resolved to enable you come before the altar of God, if your prayers must be answered. It is a godly condition that cannot be ignored or negotiated (Matthew 5:23-24).

Amicable resolution of conflicts reveals the state of your mind and the level of your spirituality. If truly you have been born again, it should not be difficult for you to forgive others.

Freely you have been forgiven your sins; freely you should forgive others and be reconciled, and love others as Christ loves us.
