TOPIC FOR TODAY, THURSDAY 1:7:21: The power of Christian life

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

Motivational Quote: Your Christian life is dead without power. Therefore, seek God’s face until He endues You with His power. You need it.

Prophetic Word: The Lord God shall empower you to do exploits in your Christian walk, in the name of Jesus.

Jesus, before His ascension, declared to His small group of followers on Mount Olives: “Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” (Acts 1:8).

When the Holy Ghost comes upon you, the power to do the will of God becomes available to you. The changes that God wants to effect in your life will easily be done. You can never be the same person with the natural tendencies and inclinations when the Holy Ghost takes over your life.

Paul declared in 1 Cor. 2:2, “For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” As a Christian, people must see Christlike characteristics in you. This is the work of the Holy Ghost: He powers and steers the Christian to a fulfilled life.

The Holy Ghost also helps us to bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering (patience), goodness, gentleness, faith, meekness and temperance. When the fruit is in you, your prayer life is effective; your study of the Bible is deep and your obedience level is high.

The Holy Ghost also empowers you to do exploits, to crush the enemies under you, to make the right choices, to operate like the wind, to spiritually discern correctly, to hear His voice clearly, to live as His witness and to know the signs of the times.

The power of the Holy Ghost, which is the power of the Christian life in you, will also help you to know the mind of God for your generation and the prevailing spirits influencing the mood and the mindset of the people around you.

In addition to the above, through the power of the Holy Ghost working in you, you will be able to cast out demons. You will be as bold as a lion that turns not for anyone.

Also, you can never be bewitched (Acts 8:9). Finally, you live to demonstrate the Spirit and the power of God! (1Cor.2:4). This was Paul’s boast.

Note that ‘spirit’ is spelt with a capital ‘S’. This refers to the Holy Spirit. Paul lived to demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit. You, too, should: for the kingdom of God is not in words, but in power!

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING
1. I shall live a fufilled life, whether my enemies like it or not, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every idol crying against my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.

3. I arise and break the evil circle of limitation working against my progress, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. O God, give me the power to be unique in my Christian experience, in the name of Jesus.

5. I receive power to crush every opposition to my glorious shining, in the name of Jesus.

6. Serpent and scorpions programmed to make me fail in my Christian walk, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

7. I receive the special anointing to demonstrate God’s Spirit and power, in the name of Jesus.

SPECIAL NOTE!

Beloved Reader, the sweetest way to enjoy all-round blessings from God in this Year 2021 is to make Jesus Christ your personal Lord & Saviour.  Remember! the Lord Jesus in John 3:3 says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless ye are born again, ye cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Beware! this period we are in today is fulfilling this saying of Jesus Christ:
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold,” Matt 24:12.
Our prayer for all of us is: any power, any problem that will quench our love for God and His unfailing Word, Holy Ghost Fire will destroy and flush them away.
