WELCOME to MFM Devotional for 05/04/22

Memory Verse:
1 Timothy 4:12 – “Let no man despise
thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

1 Timothy 4:12

12 You are young, but don’t let anyone treat you as if you are not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them by what you say, by the way you live, by your love, by your faith, and by your pure life.

Motivational Quotes:
Let people see who you are, not who you say you are.

Praise and Worship:
Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit

Prophetic Word for today:
I prophesy that the Lord will make you a glorious billboard that will advertise Him worldwide, in the Name of Jesus.

Fire Scripture:
2 Corinthians 3:1-3

3 Why are we beginning again to tell you all these good things about ourselves? Do we need letters of introduction to you or from you, like some other people? 2 No, you yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts. It is known and read by all people. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ that he sent through us. This letter is not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God. It is not written on stone tablets but on human hearts.

5/4/22 MESSAGE:
In the world of today, people no longer want to hear only the words we proclaim. Rather, they want to see how we relate with people around us. Nobody wants to do what you say, but what you do.

Jesus became our perfect example when He came to the world as a man. He went about doing good, seeking those who were lost and helping the helpless.

How are you going about your Christian journey? Do you say one thing and do another? Do you preach to others what you know you can’t do? I have seen a lot of people who said they can’t follow certain people to church because of their character. I used to know a landlady who gave quit notice to all her tenants because she considered them a pain in the neck. They were all Christians from a particular church to which she also belonged.

One day, her Pastor told her, “I have members that are seeking accommodation.” She told the Pastor outright that she does not want his members and that they constituted the majority of people she had evicted from her house because of their troubles.

Dear reader of this devotional, are you a worthy example of a believer that Christ can be proud of? Can people say of a truth that you are a man or woman of your words? God said of Abraham, “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him (Genesis 18:19).

Beloved, what are you teaching those under your roof? In words and in deeds, are you an example of Christ that people can read and follow? Do you defend your faults or you come clean before God in repentance? Can God entrust souls to your care? Are you misleading the weak ones or pointing them to Christ?

I pray that, henceforth, your life will be pleasing to the Lord that others will see Him in you, be attracted to Him and decide to follow Him, in the Name of Jesus.
