MEMORY VERSE:
Proverbs 26:2 – “As the bird by
wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.”

Proverbs 26:2

2 Don’t worry when someone curses you for no reason. Nothing bad will happen. Such words are like birds that fly past and never stop.

PROPHETIC WORD for today 21/4/22:
You shall not become a victim of parental curse, in the Name of Jesus.

FIRE SCRIPTURE:
Colossians 3:20-25

20 Children, obey your parents in everything. This pleases the Lord.

21 Fathers, don’t upset your children. If you are too hard to please, they might want to stop trying.

22 Servants, obey your masters in everything. Obey all the time, even when they can’t see you. Don’t just pretend to work hard so that they will treat you well. No, you must serve your masters honestly because you respect the Lord.

23 In all the work you are given, do the best you can. Work as though you are working for the Lord, not any earthly master.

24 Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, who will give you what he promised his people. Yes, you are serving Christ. He is your real Master.

25 Remember that anyone who does wrong will be punished for that wrong. And the Lord treats everyone the same.

MFM 21/4/22 MESSAGE:
It is sad to know that there are many people who are labouring under the curses issued against them by their parents. Sometimes, under the manipulation of the devil, some people invite parental curses upon themselves.

There are some too who become victims of parental curses through carelessness or stubbornness.

Reuben slept with his father’s wife and his father cursed him. Look at the effect of that curse upon Reuben: 1 Chronicles 5: 1-2 says, “Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s.)”

Reuben lost his birthright and his inheritance to a far younger brother, Joseph. The punishment did not stop with him; it extended to his generations after him. What a pity!

This is how serious parental curses can be. I have seen men and women who needed to go to God in fasting and prayer to ask for mercy, forgiveness and restoration. It was after then that they had peace and their lives began to amend. Before then, they could not make headway in any of their endeavours.

Parental curses are not to be joked with. One must be careful not to provoke one’s parents to anger to the extent of making them to issue curses. God frowns at disobedience or disloyalty to parents, be it biological parents, foster parents, parents-in-law or parents in the Lord.

Therefore, care must be taken when dealing with any of these categories of parents.

Beloved, are you laboring under a parental curse? There is hope for you.

First, you must give your life to Christ and become His child.

Second, you should pray to God for mercy and forgiveness. Then use the appropriate Scriptures to break the curse and tell God to replace them with His blessings.

MORNING
1. Every curse pursuing my life, die, in the Name of Jesus.

2. I shall not be a candidate of curses, in the Name of Jesus.

3. My Father, deliver me from every curse of the enemy, in the Name of Jesus.

4. My destiny, reject curses, in the Name of Jesus.

5. I recover my glory from the strong man, in the Name of Jesus.

6. O Lord, catapult me to my next level, in the Name of Jesus.

7. My Father, my glory and the lifter of my head, promote me by fire, in the Name of Jesus.
