PRAISE & WORSHIP:
1. God, give us Christian homes!
Homes where the Bible is loved and taught,
Homes where the Master’s will is sought,
Homes crowned with beauty Your love has wrought;

16 FEB PROPHETIC WORD: 
BY THE POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS, I DECREE ENVY SHALL FIND NO PLACE IN YOUR FAMILY,  IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 4: 1-11-
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.

2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lordhad respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

9 And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;

16 FEB MESSAGE:
In our Fire Scripture today, we can see how terrible envy can be. It can make a man to kill his own brother. In other parts of the Bible, we see envy at work in other families leading to serious problems. brothers of Joseph almost killed him also out of envy. Envy amongst brethren is a sign that the devil has come in and is at work in the family.

In Numbers chapter 12, Aaron and Miriam got envious of their kid brother, Moses, and they spoke against him for marrying the Ethiopia woman. Envy makes a man to always want to be like another person.

It is an evil that drive a person to reach for what belongs to another person. The envious person has no peace because he is always bothered about what is going on in the lives of other people. He or she wants to be like the other man or woman, not giving attention to his own gifts and talents. The envy person never appreciates anything about himself or herself, no matter how good or noble.

Envy drives men to wickedness. An envious person can kill or destroy just to get at the person he is envious of. It is indeed a very bad spirit. Envy tears families apart. One person possessed with the spirit of envy in the family can wreak havoc in that family because he, she will go to any length to bring harm to anyone he/she sees as a threat to his/her wicked ambition even if it means going diabolical.

Breadwinners, shining stars, destiny lifters, and goalgetters have been either pulled down or destroyed by envious elements in some families. The brothers of Joseph would have preferred that he died than live to lift up the family but for divine intervention that kept him to fulfil the purpose of God for his life.

Envy succeeded in making Cain to kill Abel because the family did not stop it (Genesis 4:1-16). It reared its ugly head between Jacob and Esau (Genesis 25:19-34, 27:1-45), Leah and Rachel (Genesi: 29:1-35, 30:1-24), Joseph and his brothers, the older brother and the prodigal son (Luke 15: 11-32)

Godly families must rise against the spirit of envy in their midst in order to avert the dire consequence that can arise from it.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. I bind and cast out every spirit of envy assigned against my family, in the name of Jesus.

2. I crush to pieces every serpent and scorpion of envy working against my family, in the name of Jesus.

3. O Lord, deliver my family members from the spirit of envy, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

 4. l recover every blessing that we have lost as a result of envy, in the name of Jesus.

5. I destroy every seed of envy sowed in my heart, in the name of Jesus.

 6. Every evil leg that has walked into my family, I cut you off, in the name of Jesus.

7. My family shall arise ang shine, in the name of Jesus.
