Beloved! Remember Bridges and walls are made with the same materials. But though Bridge joins the people, But Wall divides the people. Are you a Bridge that link people together or you are a Wall that separates people

Welcome to MFM Devotional, 9 Feb 24

need Thee ev’ry hour,
Most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine
Can peace afford.

I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;
Ev’ry hour I need Thee;
Oh, bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

2 I need Thee ev’ry hour,
Stay Thou nearby;
Temptations lose their pow’r
When Thou art nigh. [Refrain]

3 I need Thee ev’ry hour,
In joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide,
Or life is vain. [Refrain]

4 I need Thee ev’ry hour,
Teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises
In me fulfill. [Refrain]

PROVERBS 26:13- “the slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.”

The rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the force applied to it.

Receive the anointing for groundbreaking ideas and convert them to world-changing project, in the name of Jesus.

GENESIS 22:1-18
1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

15 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Yesterday, we stressed the need to promptly take action and execute the great ideas that heaven gives to us.  An idea that is not implemented is as good as non-existing and cannot add  value to humanity. We will continue the discourse today.

Why do people fail to take action and allow great brainwaves and ideas that God gives them to die unexecuted?

The first reason is laziness. A lazy person will rather give a thousand excuses or merely talk about his brilliant idea than work towards executing it. He why it might not work than reasons why it would.

The second reason is the spirit of inertia. This is a spirit that keeps a person glued to one spot, make him inactive and unproductive. In the end the person will become a never-do-well.

The third reason is that people fail to take action when they should because of their inability to discern what God is saying or doing. Their lack of spiritual sensitivity and alertness as well as their spiritual blindness makes them miss heaven’s message and timing.

In addition, procrastination is a major cause of inaction on the parts of many people. They know the right thing to do but keep putting it forward and will not do it in the end.

Lastly, people that are being attacked by the spirit of failure, non-achievement and poverty often do not take action on anything that will make them productive and prosperous. They foregoing factors are enemies of success and achievement. They confine glorious destinies into the dustbin of poverty and sorrow,

Abraham acted promptly on God’s instruction to offer Isaac. David was prompt in challenging and confronting Goliath. Nehemiah was prompt in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem; the apostles were proactive in preaching the gospel and turning the world upside down. Paul was prompt in obeying the heavenly vision. They were all mightily blessed.

This year, when you attend training, read books and get an idea, write it down with action steps to take and timeline. Do less of talking and fantasizing. Act on your God-given ideas, goals and plans.

Finally, make sure you take action and defeat the forces of inertia, procrastination and failure. You will succeed, in Jesus’ name.

1. Powers assigned to make me a never-do-well, die, in the name of Jesus.

2. Father, make me spiritually sensitive and discerning, in the name of Jesus.

3. Any power putting blockages and hindrances in my way, die, in the name of Jesus.

4. Powers assigned to confine my glorious destiny into the dustbin of poverty and sorrow, you are liars, die, in the name of Jesus.

5. Opportunity waters in my life, depart from me and die, in the name of Jesus.

6. Father, give me the eagerness and promptness of Nehemiah in working on my ideas, in the name of Jesus.

7, Father, give me the spiritual alertness and obedience of Abraham in carrying out your instructions, in the
name of Jesus.
