When the leadership of a Non-governmental and Non-polical set up planted a seed 20 years ago, they apparently built their faith in the Holy Bible which says “train up a child in the way he should go, when he/she is old will not depart from it”.

And also, they moved in actualsing the popular saying of former American President, Abraham Lincoln, “that best way to predict the future is create it.”

Thus, in pursuing their vision for academic excellence, the Pastor Fola Adeleye and wife established Champions International School.

The school has today celebrated its 20 years in existence in the sleepy town of Magboro, Ogun State.

Established in 2005 by the Adekeyes, the school’s mission statement is to raise children with sound minds, garnished with Christian values.

And like the biblical muster seeds, the school, which started in a living room, with classrooms carved out of a modest setting, suddenly became the cynosure of all eyes for the lovers of education.

Evolving into a dynamic learning institution, the 20-year-old school has been bestried with success stories, as well as memorable testimonies.

Despite its modest beginning with a handful of pupils, the Champions school has expanded substantially over the last 20 years and has become one of the most prestigious educational institutions in and around the community.

While celebrating 20 years of its academic prowess at its Sports Garden pitch on Saturday, January 18, the Chief Executive Officer of the School, Pastor Mrs. Abosede Adekeye explained how her dream of quality school came to a reality.

Tagged, “Praise of His Deeds”, Pastor Mrs. Adekeye appreciated God for His guidance and faithfulness in turning the smallest muster seeds into bigger trees, even as she applauded her husband, Pastor Fola Adekeye for his unalloyed support and contributions towards the success story.

The Director of Studies and renowned journalist, Pastor Fola Adekeye has been regarded by his wife, as the pillar of support to her, as well as the school.

She therefore disclosed that, if God tarries, the dream of Champions University shall come to pass.

Tracing the genesis of the school, she stated thus, “We started teaching our children at home and within days, parents brought their children and our living room became our first classroom”.

“Teaching and learning became more exciting inside our living room which is now our Montessori School”.

Furthermore she said, “It has been 20 years of raising intelligent students, grooming champions, and witnessing God’s unfailing promises.”

The school’s vision, she noted, is to build and deliver quality and trusted education for the good of every child to stand out in grand style.

Goodwill messages from the royal fathers, students; parents, as well as the old students of the school poured out like the torrential rains.

According to him, “The success of the school is driven by dedication to God; the founders’ vision; understanding parents; devoted teachers, as well as, committed pupils and students, whose paths crossed.

“It is this testimony of understanding; love; sacrifice; hard work and enthusiasm that we are celebrating here today.”

The Royal Father of the Day, Oba Alalade Ademuyiwa while lauding the Adekeyes for the giant strides, prayed that the school would graduate into Champion University.
