BREAKING: Nigerians express fear over perceived second wave of Naira scarcity, 20 days for new regime

Is Nigeria going through another round of Naira scarcity?

Nigerians expressed fear as there seemed to be second wave of Naira scarcity across Lagos State, Nigeria.

Findings by allcitynews.ng all commercial banks within Ikeja area in Lagos, Thursday, Friday and Monday, May 4 -8 May 2023 did not have money to dispense. All ATMs within Ikeja have not been having money to dispense.

Speaking with allcitynews.ng, a security personnel, manning one of the banks at Allen Avenue Ikeja said: “I am also surprised like most of you people because we can only give what we have. We have not been having money to load ATMs.”

Banks along Ojodu Berger, have no money for customers. The only bank which seemed to have one functional ATM out the two installed outside was besieged by customers who are in search of money. After the withdrawal of two customers, at 5pm on 8 May 2023, the ATM could no longer dispense any money and all those who had queued went away with murmuring and complaints.
