ASCSN appoints new Secretary General, Comrade Joshua Apebo

In apparent bid to fill a vacuum, Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has appointed Comrade Joshua Apebo as the new Secretary General of the Association.

The appointment which is taking effect from 1 January 2023 is to fill the vacuum created by the retirement of the current Secretary General, Comrade Alade Bashir Lawal, whose’s tenure will expire by 31 December 2022.

The President, Comrade (Dr) Tommy Etim Okon who made this known said the new Secretary General, Comrade Apebo who was the Deputy Secretary-General of the association from 1st March, 2019 until his elevation to the post of Secretary-General, joined the service of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria on the 5th January, 2001.

Comrade Apebo has a Bachelor of Arts
(BA) Degree in Public Administration in 1998 from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and also Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Public Administration in 2007 from the University of Maiduguri, Maiduguri. He attended series of Trade Union Courses, Seminars and Workshops which have impacted positively on his performance.

Moreover he explained that Apebo has not only served the Association in Borno State, Adamawa State and Benue State, but also on the 1st May, 2014, was promoted to the post of Assistant Secretary-General and transferred to the National Headquarters of the Association in Lagos.
