There is serious alleged age falsification in the management team of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

According to the source who asked not to be named, the identified senior operatives of the Commission involved in the age racketeering scandal, were hoping that they would get their years in the service extended beyond their retirement ages.

For instance, a document obtained by our correspondent showed that the General Manager, TCN Market Operations, Engr Edmund Eje, who is scheming to be Executive Director, has allegedly falsified his age, as was also published in the Market Operator website of TCN.

In the document obtained, Engr Eje who was born in Umuihi-Ihitte of Ihitte/Uboma LGA, Imo State in 1966, but allegedly
started school First School Leaving Certificate in Central School, Ihitte, Imo State in 1967.

Born in Umuihi-Ihitte of Ihitte/Uboma LGA, Imo State in 1966, Engr EddyEje is happily
married.

A credible source told this medium that many of such people are positioning themselves for appointments within the organisation with false documents.

“This is what is going on and it is scandalous. Something has to be done. How can someone claimed to be born in 1966 and started his primary school in 1967. This need to be look into. Such person should not be allowed to take leadership role,” the source said.

It was also learnt that another official person who ought to look into such ugly incidences is also allegedly involved in the same incidence.

According to the source, the General Manager HR ISO TCN, who is also scheming to be Executive Director HR TCN, who should look into such records, is also allegedly involved of age falsification by changing her date of birth while in NEPA/PHCN to another in TCN after privatisation.

Efforts to get Engr Eje side did not yield result as he did not respond to email, sms and calls.
