TOPIC FOR TODAY:9:7:21:Duties of a husband

Prophetic Word: I decree, you shall not build for another to eat, in the name of Jesus. name.

A husband is a family leader. He presides over his home and gives direction to his family. Every man should be knowledgeable about his wife. As a husband, you should know your wife’s preference for things like toiletries, clothings colours, and so on.

You should also know your wife’s likes and dislikes. Isaiah 58:7 says, “Hide not thyself from thine own flesh.” In Ephesians 5:28, God declares, “He that loveth his wife loveth himself.” Paul admonished that if a man wants to rule his house, he must first understand that it is a heavy responsibility.

What are the major duties of the husband? He must be equipped with the knowledge of what makes a successful Christian husband. For instance, he must know that every successful marriage must be built on Christ and common sense. He must know that women say yes with their lips and no with their eyes. Provide comfort and support for your wife.

He must offer assistance in household chores. He must find out if his wife knows how to rest. Some women don’t know how to rest. He must make his wife a queen of the house and she will get married to a king. He should respect his wife and her feelings. He should be a good friend first with whom she can share anything without fear.

He should support her career. He should never give up on her, especially when it comes to her dignity and self-respect. He should help in the upbringing of their children and other things. He should treat his wife with the utmost respect and never see her as a replacement for his mother.

He should keep all modes of communication open, to be honest, to be willing and thoughtfully participate in discussions. He should be honest, loyal and trustworthy. He should genuinely love his wife (Eph. 5:25) Above all the husband should know that he should not keep secret from himself.

The devil often leads men into thinking that if they open up completely they may never be accepted for who they are or when their partner hears the whole truth about an issue, they will not be loved anymore, but this is a lie. I advise you to follow the principles of the Bible for your marriage and your joy will be full.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Power to do good things at the right time, envelop my life, in the name of Jesus.

2. I shall be the head and not the tail, in the name of Jesus.

3. I shall not bring forth for any trouble, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. O God, arise and manifest Yourself in my home, in the name of Jesus.

5. O God, arise and manifest Yourself in my handiwork, in the name of Jesus.

6. I shall not eat the bread of sorrow, in the name of Jesus.

7. Powers that dealt with my father, my life is not available, die, in the name of Jesus.
