MFM Topic, Sun 3 March 2024:
keep on believing {1}

Beloved! Remember Bridges and walls are made with the same materials. But though Bridge joins the people, But Wall divides the people. Are you a Bridge that link people together or you are a Wall that separates people.

Welcome to MFM Devotional, 3 March 24

PRAISE & WORSHIP:

Once again the Gospel message
From the Savior you have heard;
Will you heed the invitation?
Will you turn and seek the Lord?

Refrain:
Come believing! come believing!
Come to Jesus! look and live!
Come believing! come believing!
Come to Jesus! look and live!

2 Many summers you have wasted,
Ripened harvests you have seen;
Winter snows by spring have melted,
Yet you linger in your sin. [Refrain]

3 Jesus for your choice is waiting;
Tarry not: at once decide!
While the Spirit now is striving,
Yield, and seek the Savior’s side. [Refrain]

4 Cease of fitness to be thinking;
Do not longer try to feel;
It is trusting, and not feeling,
That will give the Spirit’s seal. [Refrain]

5 Let your will to God be given,
Trust in Christ’s atoning blood;
Look to Jesus now in Heaven,
Rest on His unchanging Word. [Refrain]

The faith that always wins is the faith that is persistent.

MARCH 3 PROPHETIC WORD:
I decree that your faith will never fail, in the name of Jesus.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Samuel 12-28
12 And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli marked her mouth.

13 Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.

14 And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.

15 And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord.

16 Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.

17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.

19 And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the Lord, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lordremembered her.

20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord.

21 And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the Lord the yearly sacrifice, and his vow.

22 But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the Lord, and there abide for ever.

23 And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the Lord establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.

24 And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the Lord in Shiloh: and the child was young.

25 And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli.

26 And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the Lord.

27 For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

28 Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord there.

SUN 3 MARCH MESSAGE:

The problem with many believers is that they profess great faith one day and exhibit unbelief and doubt the next day. They lack consistency and tenacity in their faith. The Bible says such persons cannot have anything worthwhile from the Lord. This is also the reason why the prayer of many professed believers are not answered. Jesus said that it is those who endure to the end that shall be saved.

You need strong, persistent and enduring faith to be an overcomer in life.  The weak faith that falters and fails in the face of the smallest trial will not lead you anywhere nor get the best reward for you from God.

The truth is that both God and the devil will test your faith. In each instance, you are expected to pass the test. The trial of your faith will produce patience and other godly virtues in you. The Bible affirms that Abraham was indeed the father of faith. He demonstrated great faith in God and was accounted to him as righteousness. By demonstrating genuine faith in God, he became God’s friend. In spite of old age (100) and his wife’s (90),

Abraham was fully persuaded that God would faithfully perform what He had told him about having a covenant or destiny child. The Bible says, “He staggered not in faith, believing that He who had promised would do it.”  That is the king of faith God wants you to demonstrate always.

People often stop trusting God for their hearts’ desires when they present their request to God a number of times and there is no answer. Sometimes, on account of this, they will stop praying or stop even going to church and serving God. Abraham did not stagger or waiver in faith. Rather, he kept believing for decades until lsaac, the promised child was born. Similarly, Hannah did not allow the enemy to shipwreck her faith while Peninah was mocking and taunting her for lack of a child.

For several years, she kept on praying and believing God for a turnaround in her story. The God who answers prayers visited her and answered her by fire! She didn’t stop believing God.

This gave birth to Hannah’s prophetic prayer in 1 Samuel 2.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Father, give me the faith that does not waver, in the name of Jesus.

2. O God, strengthen my faith and make it persistent, in the name of Jesus.

3. Powers that want my faith to fail, you are liars, die, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. As Abraham’s faith produced Isaac, let my faith bring forth my desired miracles, in the name of Jesus.

5. As Hannah’s faith produced Samuel, Father, let my faith in you give birth to gigantic testimonies, in the name of Jesus.

6. Father, give me anew song as You did for Hannah, in the name of Jesus.

7. I receive the grace to pass the test and trial of my faith and reach my goal, in the name of Jesus.
