10~11~23 MESSAGE:

David was the last born in his family and was put in charge of his father’s sheep. He led them out, brought them in and protected them. All this while, no one, including him knew that the Lord was preparing him for a big event in Israel. The victories he got while tendering his father’s sheep gave him confidence to stand against Goliath. Let it be known that David was a teenager when he brought down the head of Goliath.

I have met a couple of teenagers who are about to enter into the university but they have no clue what they want to be in life. They cannot express themselves wisely and have no preparation for the next stage of their lives. This is not right. Unfortunately, there are also some elders in this same boat! No one jumps into any place and succeeds, you must prepare or you fail. You cannot just stroll into the examination hall without adequate preparation. That is inviting failure before taking the examination.

There are powers that hinder people from entering their next level, particularly the breakthroughs that will announce them. These powers do not care about your age. As long as you are determined to be the first that will make a great achievement or you desire to continue in the trend of great things, they will rage against you.

God used the lion and the bear to prepare David for Goliath. God used the king’s portion to prepare Daniel for all the challenges he would meet in Babylon. God used the shepherding the flock to prepare Moses as a deliverer of God’s people.

Do not shy away from the battles and challenges in your life right now? Confront and conquer them. They are there to prepare you for greater responsibilities and greater glory. Become God’s battle axe today. Your goliath might be that exam, that unfriendly friend, that addiction, bad habit or weakness that keep hindering you and making you feel guilty.

Arise today and go into that battle in the name of the Lord and conquer. Prepare to win or delay and lose. It is up to you.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Any power standing on my way to greatness, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.

2. Internal witchcraft preventing my star from shining, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

3. Powers of my father’s house that have set a limitation to my greatness in life, receive madness now, in the name of Jesus.

4. Every strange wind diverting me from the path of greatness, go back to your sender, in the name of Jesus.

5. Goliath that stopped my parents, you will not stop me, receive the stone of death, in the name of Jesus.

6. Arrows of wickedness pushing me backward, back fire, in the name of Jesus.

7. O God, arise and defend Your interest in my life, in the name of Jesus.
