Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) has rescheduled the 2023 edition of its annual Brands and Marketing Conference to Friday December 15, 2023 at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos by 10am.

The theme of this year’s event is “Private Public Partnership: Infrastructural Development Strategy for Government, Communities & Brands”.

Scheduled to take the keynote address is Dr. Olajumoke M. Akiode, Convener, Women in Infrastructure Community Africa (WICA) and Director of Research at the Centre for Ethics and Sustainable Development (CESD).

An expert on the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, Dr. Olajumoke is expected to speak on the theme for this year’s event, the 11th edition, “Private Public Partnership: Infrastructural Development Strategy for Government, Communities and Brands”.

Originally slated for November 17, 2023, the new development comes following the need to adequately prepare for the event which has for the past 10 years pulled stakeholders in the Integrated Marketing Communications space together to dissect key issues facing the economy and Nigeria at large.

The conference is a flagship event organised by BJAN, a body of journalists covering the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) industry.

This year’s event promises to bring together seasoned experts within the business environment to dissect the topic and proffer solutions to some of the challenges surrounding the private public partnership model.

Notable personalities within the Brands and Marketing space are also expected to further dissect the keynote address to set the tone of conversation in a panel discussion.

Chairman, Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria, Clara Okoro said, the theme was carefully selected considering the immense benefit surrounding PPP as a model which has in no small way helped in developing key sectors in the country.

“Despite the challenges, the PPP model is increasingly seen as the new business elixir for government, companies, and communities alike. By adopting PPP as a model for infrastructural development, governments can benefit from increased efficiency and reduced costs while also promoting economic growth and social welfare. Ultimately, PPPs offer a promising path forward to addressing the challenges of high debt management,” Clara said.
