Nigeria School Reopening: Lagos state set resumption dates for public and private schools
All public and private schools in Lagos State are to resume on 18th January 2021
The Lagos State Govment make this announcement said all public and private schools below tertiary level in the state will reopen for the second term 2020/21 academic session from Monday, 18th of January, 2021.
The Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo in a statement said the decision is in line with Federal Government directives.
She ask all schools to make efforts to comply wit all Covid-19 preventive requirements for resumption schools.
“It not just for the improvement of overall school operations but for the safe of both the students and all teaching and non-teaching staff in all the schools. Therefore the state government needs the cooperation of everyone as the schools reopen for academic activities.”
The Commissioner also advise all schools to get flexible plans whereby students and teachers who can teach or learn from home through available online platforms.
Wearing of facemasks at all times, physical distancing, regular hand washing with soap under running water and maintaining high standard of personal hygiene within all schools premises must be observed.
