PRAISE & WORSHIP

Thy Word is a lamp to my feet,
A light to my path alway,
To guide and to save me from sin,
And show me the heav’nly way.

Refraiin:
Thy Word have I hid in my heart,
That I might not sin against Thee;
That I might not sin, that I might not sin,
Thy Word have I hid in my heart.

2 Forever, O Lord, is Thy Word
Established and fixed on high;
Thy faithfulness unto all men
Abideth for ever nigh. (Refrain)

3 At morning, at noon, and at night
I ever will give Thee praise;
For Thou art my portion, O Lord,

Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
A closed mouth is a closed destiny.

14/8/23 PROPHETIC WORD:
Henceforth, you shall decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you, and the light shall shine on your ways, in the name of Jesus.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 21:12-13:
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

14-8-23 MESSAGE:
Among the armour pieces mentioned in Ephesians 6:13-17, the Sword of the Spirit is the piece that is both defensive and offensive in nature.

As Christians, we are not to wait till the enemy brings the fight to us. We are to be proactive, ensuring that God’s will stands always. It is better to prevent a problem than to try to solve it. as is commonly said, “prevention is better than cure.”

Jesus adopted the offensive nature of the Sword when he chased out the people selling things at the temple.
He stood on the word of God that was written: “My house shall be called a house of prayer” (Isaiah 56:7) and He effected the necessary change.

Similarly, you are to chase out of your life, using the word of God as your guide, anything that does not glorify God. The Sword of the Spirit has been given to us as an offensive weapon, but until you take it up and use it, you will continue to be a prey in the hands of the enemy. You will master the use of the sword of the spirit by studying God’s word daily and applying it to every area of your life.

Beloved, to be a Christian is to be a warrior. God has graciously provided us with the sword of the spirit, the word of God, to take the offensive against the enemy and his cohorts. Take the Sword of the Spirit and cut down every evil tree that is growing in your life.

Use it to destroy the works of satan and enforce God’s dominion here on earth. It is your weapon of unchallengeable victory.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. I thank You, Lord, for always being faithful to Your word.

2. Thank You for Your word that gives us life.

3. I am the battle axe of the Lord, and so I break in pieces every structure against the will of God.

EVENING

4. Thank You Lord for Your word that guides my steps.

5. My ears and heart are opened to receive God’s word appropriate for every phase of my life, in the name of Jesus.

6. I put my flesh under the subjection of the Holy Spirit as I obey God’s word, in the name of Jesus.

7. Thy word, O Lord, is settled concerning my life and family, in the name of Jesus.
