WELCOME to MFM Devotional, 21/08/22

PRAISE & WORSHIP;

O WORSHIP THE KING

O worship the King all-glorious above,
O gratefully sing his power and his love:
our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days,
pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise.

2 O tell of his might and sing of his grace,
whose robe is the light, whose canopy space.
His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form,
and dark is his path on the wings of the storm.

3 Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;
it streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,
and sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.

4 Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
in you do we trust, nor find you to fail.
Your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end,
our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend!

5 O measureless Might, unchangeable Love,
whom angels delight to worship above!
Your ransomed creation, with glory ablaze,
in true adoration shall sing to your praise!

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 24:3-14

21-08-22 MESSAGE:

Today makes it the fourth day we have been treating the signs of the times. One critical fact we have been stressing is that the signs are already upon this generation and they point to the second advent of Jesus Christ. Some of these signs are of frightful dimension in consonant with the statement of Jesus in Luke 21:26, “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”

The question I want to ask you now is that – Are you part of the refined atheists in Christendom? These are men and women in the kingdom of God who carry the Bible, read the Bible and even preach the Bible, yet they do not believe the stand of the Bible on many issues.

From today’s Fire Scripture, the other signs of the times are noteworthy. One of them is high scale persecution and killing of believers. The rate and spate of the killing of Christians in this generation is becoming alarming. Countless number of Christians are suffering from cruelpersecution in many nations of the world; even in nations that are supposed to be Christian nations.

The stark reality is that persecution and martyrdom of Christians will continue till our Master returns to take us away. Remember Jesus said in John 15:20, “Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they Will also persecute you;…”

The great Apostle Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians also painted this picture of persecution. 1 Thess.3:3 says “That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.” Therefore, the present suffering of ourfellow brethren all over the world is a loud signal of the end times to us. We shall continue tomorrow by God’s grace.

Meanwhile, have you been washed in the blood of the Lamb?

PRAYER POINTS

MORNING

1.  Thank You, Jesus, for Your shed blood for me upon the Cross of Calvary.

2.  Resurrection power, arise, saturate my life, in the name of Jesus.

3.  I shall not miss eternity, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4.  Blood of Jesus, barricade my life from the invasion of hell, in the name of Jesus.

5.  Holy Ghost, order my steps aright, in the name of Jesus.

6.  Enemies of my soul, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.

7.  Arrows from the pit of hell fired against my life, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
