Topic: THE SECRETS OF GREATNESS

Here was the psalmist, praying for greatness. So it is not an offence or sin to pray for greatness. Jesus also said another deep saying in Mark 10:43-44. Again, something has come to pass in the life of believers “my people perish for lack of knowledge”.

Ignorance is:
– the creator of all other obstacles.
– the night of the mind.

So the most dangerous thing in the world is sincere ignorance. Nothing is worse than active ignorance, because there is really no slavery apart from ignorance. It is the root of most of the problems that we face. Ignorance is a disaster and the recipe for constant ignorance is to be satisfied with your opinion and content with your knowledge. Ignorance never settles a question. Two people who do not know who are arguing, are in trouble. But the beautiful thing is that knowledge will forever govern ignorance.

Behind every argument is somebody’s ignorance, and behind every mountain that we face, there is ignorance. A person can spend the whole of his life accumulating ignorance. There is nothing more terrifying than ignorance in action. What you know will make you known. And if you are not updated, you will soon be outdated or obsolete. Jesus said something quite profound. He said “you shall know the truth, the truth you know shall make you free”. Truth is very powerful, but it is useless to the person who does not know it.

It is only the truth you know that can work for you. What you know or do not know, will determine how far you go in life. The greatest enemy of ignorance is knowledge. So beloveth, you must seek knowledge.

So in this series of manna water services, we shall give knowledge and back it up with prayers. Your present is your key to future. You have to use what you have now to get what you need in the future. What you have now is the seed for that which you should become. Greatness does not usually begin great. Many great things do not begin great.

MFM actually started in a sitting room with 24 people. God has blessed us today. So greatness does not usually begin great. So if you despise little beginnings, you will never be great. I have many letters in my file of young men who want to become ministers who want to start churches and they are asking me for money to buy a big mixer, large microphone, powerful organ, powerful guitars and other equipment. They want to buy these things and they do not have a congregation. So when I ask them to start small, some get offended. Someone who has never pastored a house fellowship is calling himself a general overseer.

Start small, then build it up. This is why many cannot become great. Those who have big supermarkets today did not begin as big as that. They started small. Many do not want to start small. The Bible says they are guilty of despising small beginnings. Do not despise small beginnings. Jesus taught His disciples that the way to becoming a master is to becoming little. A little person who is diligent in his work will never remain small but sooner or later will grow big. We are discussing the secrets. God will not give you yours if you do not prove yourself reliable when you are serving others.

A good leader is someone who has learnt how to follow. God sometimes makes someone an apprentice under somebody before he becomes a master of himself. There are many people who do not want to be an apprentice to others. “I am a graduate, I cannot do farming, I cannot do lower jobs” and so hunger is killing such a person and he needs to remain alive to be great. He does not understand the principle of greatness. Your being an apprentice is the gateway to your future, whether it will be great or small.

You are killing your greatness when you believe that you will only work hard when you are on your own. When you are under somebody and you are not working hard, you can never be great. Let me give you an announcement: you will never become great if you reject the starting point of “little”. For the first year of MFM, there was no microphone. I stood in my sitting room and used my voice and everyone could hear me in every corner of the house. The sitting was so small, people had to stay in the kitchen and toilet. Someone had even prophesied in the toilet before.

So, your future greatness is the little you have now. It takes just a little key to open the door which leads to a great house. When God gives you five talents, He is merely telling you that your place is among those who have ten talents. He will not start with you on four talents if He has proposed four talents for you at the end. He will give you only two and expect you to use those two to find the other two. That way, you are better equipped to manage the four.

God threw Moses into the bush to learn how to manage cattle. So, he started his training of leading millions of people from the cattle.

The first fight of David was not with Goliath. He had fought lions and bears. There are some strange human beings who have never fought a cockroach but want to fight an elephant. They cannot become great.

The man or woman who despises what God has given to him now, who is expecting more so that he can move will eventually lose that which he has, as the Bible says. So do you want to be great? Then, begin to be diligent with the little you have now. You are working for someone, begin to become the most diligent and hardworking person under him or her.

You wish to become your own master in the future? Be a faithful servant to those you are serving now. Elisha served Elijah; he was pouring water on the hands of Elijah like a servant. He came from a wealthy home but did not care to become a houseboy to the prophet. Therefore, he was able to get the double portion of his anointing. You cannot receive the double portion of a master you never served. In every life that God has created, there is a deposit of greatness. God has greatness deposited into your life. As a young man or woman or student, listen very carefully to this message. You might not find anyone who will explain this to you like I am doing, or you might get it at a cost.

In every life is a deposit of greatness, but the problem is: that deposit of greatness can be stolen, destroyed, ignored, abused, perverted, suffocated, wasted, exchanged, or transferred. There is something heaven has put inside of you. For Joseph, it was the gift of dreams. That deposit ironically was the beginning of his troubles. But the gift eventually promoted him to prime minister.

Your key to greatness may sometimes chart your own way through crisis before bringing you to glory. Rahab’s gift was hospitality. Daniel’s gift was prayer. Samson’s gift was his strength but he abused it. David’s gift was ability to play the harp. For Peter, the door into his destiny was his trade as a fisherman.

Beloveth, tonight, we need to roar in desperate prayer for you to know your own key if you do not know it. It might even be stolen and you do not know it. It is a terrible thing. We are about to pray serious prayers now. Close your eyes and shout this louder than anyone around you:

PRAY: Star robbers, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.
PRAY: I recover by fire, my stolen star, in the name of Jesus.

You need to know the deposit of greatness programmed into your life. Do not throw it away in trying another person’s key. You are programmed to be great. You are to pray and identify your own key of greatness.

===> I am praying for you now, that the buried greatness of your father’s house shall resurrect in your life in the name of Jesus! The Almighty God will over answer your prayers for breakthroughs, in the name of Jesus. By the bulldozing power of the Holy Ghost, obstacles on your way of progress shall die, in the name of Jesus. Whether it is convenient for the enemy or not, you shall be great, in the name of Jesus. And I command you where you are, if you have placed the ladder of your life on the wall of your life, I command the ladder to be removed in the name of Jesus!

===> The vulture of your father’s house planning to feed on your destiny, I command the vulture to die, in the name of Jesus! Every move of your enemies shall bring you testimonies in the name of Jesus. Powers that want to dry the oil of greatness on your head, I bury the powers in the name of Jesus! Any pattern of darkness in your family that buries greatness, that pattern is broken now, in the name of Jesus. Your deposit of greatness shall manifest, in the name of Jesus. The Lord God of Israel shall make you meet the right people at the right time, in the name of Jesus.

===> whether the devil likes it or not, God shall turn your worst time to your best time, in the name of Jesus! Because of you, your family shall not know poverty again, in the name of Jesus. This is your season of greatness, of uncommon breakthroughs, in the name of Jesus! By the power that established the heavens and the earth, by the Spirit of the prophets, you shall not struggle to be recognised in the name of Jesus! Your God shall announce you, in the name of Jesus. The sun of your life shall not listen to the voices of witchcraft, it shall arise and shine, in the name of Jesus!

===> whether the devil likes it or not, the power of God shall single you out for favour, in the name of Jesus. The power of God that has no respect for stubborn situations, shall swallow your problems, in the name of Jesus. Every grip of failure is broken in the name of Jesus. Every enemy of greatness in your life is wasted now, in the name of Jesus. Receive the anointing to be great, in the name of Jesus. (A sevenfold amen)!

Listen: I am now going to be taking the keys of greatness one by one.
Key 1: Find God. Drop everything. Find God first. God is your Manufacturer. He is your Creator. Your destiny is what God had in mind before He created you and asked you to come to the world. Find God.

Key 2: Marry the right person. This one decision will determine 90% of your success or 90% of your sorrows. Are you a young person here? Any prayer you need to pray, whatever you need to do to find the right person, do it. So that you will not marry a fire extinguisher who will quench that deposit in you. A lot of women are having terrible health issues because of the marriage they entered.

Key 3: Be forgiving. Do not put malice in your heart. It pollutes your heart.

Key 4: Be generous. The children of the generous can never suffer. It is not in record.

Key 5: Have a grateful heart. Appreciate those who have helped you. Do not show ingratitude. Do not be an ingrate. Ingrates never become great. It is in history. The Bible says “Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.” Be grateful.

Things may not be what you want now, but be grateful to God that you are alive. We just went through this pandemic that took so many people but here you are. There are so many of us here who when you were babies, were force-fed, but you were never choked on that food and died. So many other things could have happened to you. So have a grateful heart.

Key 6: Be persistent. Do not quit. Do not give up easily. Keep your prayer altar on. Keep your giving on. Keep your working for God on. Do what others do not even want to do. Some people decide to come and clean the house of God, not minding their problems. Be persistent in prayer, the Word of God, evangelism, and so on. Prayer is a mystery. No prayer is wasted. All prayers are banked.

The fact that you are praying about a situation but it is as if nothing is happening does not mean nothing is happening. Each prayer you are praying is weakening the problems. So persist. If blind Bartimaeus had shut up, he would not be healed.

Key 7: Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated. Treat people nicely. You can never tell where you will meet them again. It is a key to greatness.

Key 8: Commit yourself to constant improvement. In whatever you are doing, constantly improve. You are selling a product or into a business, make sure you improve.

Key 9: Commit yourself to excellence and quality in whatever you are doing.

Key 10: Be loyal. Everywhere you are, be loyal: to your boss, to the organisation. Disloyal people can never be great. And loyalty is not just when you are comfortable. Loyalty is to remain stable, truthful, faithful to that thing even when you are not favoured.

Key 11: Be very honest. Let your Yes be your Yes, let your No be your No.

Key 12: Be prayerful. Prayer is still a master key.

Key 13: Be Holy. Do not play with sin. It will affect you.

Key 14: Be a Bible addict.
Key 15: Deal with your foundation.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Every chain of disappointment, tied against my breakthroughs, break, in the name of Jesus.
2. My virtues, in the womb of darkness, jump out by fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every name I have carried, that is not mine, O God arise, delete them, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every curse of “thou shalt not excel”, issued against my destiny, break by fire, in the name of Jesus!
5. Blood of Jesus (Shout this 3 hot times), answer those that are calling me for evil, in the name of Jesus.
6. Wicked laughter, against my destiny, be turned to madness, in the name of Jesus.
7. Powers assigned to enslave my glory, you are liars, die in the name of Jesus.
8. Thou power of hard life, die in the name of Jesus.
9. Book of generational failure, bearing my name, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
10. Every outside enemy, using inside enemy to fight me, die! in the name of Jesus.
11. Wherever my promotion is being tied down, Holy Ghost Fire, release them, in the name of Jesus.
