The quality of inclusivity introduced by the Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Hon. Mai Mala Buni is attracting more people to the party.

As a result, a former Senator and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Yobe State Mohammed Hassan (Dambu), has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) citing the quality of leadership Mala Mai Buni has provided for the Party as one of the reasons behind his decision.

This follows a series of engagements by Mai Mala Buni who has promised not only to grow the APC into the most formidable political force in Africa, but also to ensure it is a platform that attracts men and women with the right attitude and patriotic spirit.

Moreso, this development is a big addition to the APC family nationally, and of tremendous importance to the Party in Yobe State.

In a press statement signed by Mamman Mohammed, Director General Press and Media Affairs to Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senator Dambu made a formal defection in Abuja and was received by Yobe State Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Hon. Mai Mala Buni.

“The defection of Sen. Dambu was witnessed by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, Sen. Ibrahim Bomoi, the Minister of Power Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu and the state APC Chairman Alhaji Muhammadu Gadaka”.

According to him “The exit of the former legislator has created a huge vacuum to the opposition party at both the state and national levels”.

“Senator Dambu pledged his loyalty and support to the party leadership in the state and to work for its success at all levels”

“The movement of Senator Dambu into the party will increase the fortunes of the party in Zone ‘B’ Senatorial District and the state”.
