By allcitynews.ng

Again, Labour at the eleventh hour  shelved the proposed strike scheduled to commence tomorrow, Tuesday, 3rd October, 2023 after hours of meeting with Federal Government.

The suspense is to enable the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Nigeria Labour Congress  (NLC)  monitor the implementation of promised programmes by Federal Government for 30 days.

In a terse address, the unions explained that the need to call off the planned industrial action for 30 days is to give the Federal Government the opportunity to implement agreed terms with the Nigerian workers.

As a result, work is resuming tomorrow 3rd October 2023.

Allcitynews.ng  could recall that there had been marathon meetings between the government and the labour unions since weekend with the government coming up with enticing terms and conditions before the unions.

Accordingly, work resumes nationwide tomorrow as the unions begin to watch the implementation of the agreed terms failing which; another round of strike will be declared forthwith.
