BREAKING NEWS: Buhari appoints Dr (Mrs) Adamu Tutuwa as new FIIRO DG

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr (Mrs) Adamu Tutuwa as new Director General for Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO), Lagos.

She is now the substantive Director General and Chief Executive Officer of FIIRO.

Until her appointment, Dr.(Mrs) Jummai Adamu Tutuwa,  was the Director of the Biotechnology Centre of the National Biotechnology Development Agency in Jalingo Taraba State.

The statement was made available to allcitynews.ng by FIIRO Information and Public Relations Officer, Mr Chris Olumuyiwa, showed that Dr Tutuwa’s appointment took effect from the 10th of May 2022 with a five year non renewable tenor.

According to Olumuyiwa, the statement which was signed by Mrs Monilola Udoh, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation, noted that Tutuwa’s vast experience in science research and development will come handy as a veritable tool to give FIIRO a further push into the commonwealth of renowned scientific, Technology and research nations.

Furthermore, Mrs Udoh assured the country that Tutuwa’s core competence in Biotechnology and her affiliation to scientific donor agencies, hopes are high that her new constituency will benefit therein.
