In a fresh attempt to make Nigeria a productive nation through well directed and articulated leadership, a renowned philanthropist, Professor Christopher Irene Imumolen has indicated his interest to run for 2023 Presidential race.

Imumolen who made this known while addressing media practitioners in Lagos, 17 Thursday 2022, blamed the country moving around in circles on systematic failure, brought about by bad leadership.

While speaking on topical national issues: scarcity of fuel, ASUU strike, insecurity in the land, he demanded to know if Nigeria has no fuel reserve which could have been used to seal the gap brought about by adulterated fuel rather than subjecting the entire country into stress.

Talking of insecurity, he said the nation’s police needs sound encouragement by provision of equipment which will make them more efficient and make them proud of that uniform.

Noting that things can only be put in proper perspective through the office of presidency as his reason for seeking for that post, Imumolen, promised to make good use of the presidency if voted for, to save the country from remaining a consuming nation.

“We have many unemployed and unemployable in need of jobs. As a productive nation, lots of jobs and wealth will be created. This will keep the youth engaged. Currently, systematic failure and
nonavailable welfare system are making our young ones to go into crime.

“It is time for Nigeria to take it’s rightful place by becoming a leading country. This can only take place through turnaround economy. Building economy is key to boost revenue and create jobs. The current body language of our government whereby no reward system for Nigerian workers is forcing some people into siphoning of public fund. Because there is no reward system for pensioners and current working class, patriotism is dying down among the people.”

The academia, entrepreneur and philanthropist who has lifted thousands of people from poverty level, reiterated the dire need of change of leadership as his reason for pursue of presidency, saying: “Nigeria needs a new kind of leadership. Things are not working here because there is a leadership challenge. I have travelled to many parts of this country and I can boldly say that we have all it takes to make our country one of the best in the world.”
