Nigerian Breweries names Emmanuel Oriakhi as new sales director

Nigerian Breweries Plc, a leading brewing company in Nigeria, has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Oriakhi as its new Sales Director, effective March 24, 2025.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Managing Director, Hans Essaadi, and shared with journalists. Oriakhi has been managing the Sales Department on an interim basis since November 2024 while also serving as Marketing Director. He will continue overseeing marketing operations until June 1, 2025, when a new Marketing Director assumes the role.

As Sales Director, Oriakhi will lead efforts to improve trade execution, enhance customer satisfaction, and boost sales and distribution efficiency. His mandate also includes developing a forward-looking sales team, promoting diversity through the Women in Sales (WIS) initiative, and fostering an innovative culture to help the company thrive in a dynamic business environment.

In his new role, Oriakhi will integrate Trade Marketing and Key Accounts into the Sales Division to create a more streamlined and effective sales structure.

Since September 2018, Oriakhi has served as Marketing Director, where he spearheaded innovations such as Desperados, Zagg, and Heineken 45cl. His contributions to premium brand development significantly boosted the market presence of Heineken, Tiger, and Desperados.

Oriakhi’s journey with Nigerian Breweries began in 2003 as a Commercial Management Trainee. Over the years, he has held various senior roles both locally and internationally within the HEINEKEN Group. His leadership has earned notable achievements, including the HEINEKEN Global Commercial Assertiveness Award for his work in revitalizing regional brands and stabilizing market share in Nigeria.

As a key member of the management team, Oriakhi has consistently supported talent development, encouraging his team to pursue global and regional learning opportunities.
