Topic for Friday 26: 3: 21: Holy Spirit and anointing 2

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Josh. 12-15

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Acts 10:38-43

MEMORY VERSE: Acts 1:8

 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: When God anoints you, you will be appointed for supernatural accomplishments.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: The anointing to disgrace your oppressors shall come upon your life, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Many Christians have prayed for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the anointing but they did not receive it. The Bible says you ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts (James 4:3). May you not ask amiss, in Jesus’ name. Look at the wordings of this song that people sing when asking for anointing:
“Fill my heart, O Lord
With Holy Ghost fire
Anoint me, O Lord, I pray
Anointing for service
O my Lord, grant me
To be able to work for you”

Beloved, the song summarises the major purpose of the anointing. The anointing is not for your selfish use. Jesus told the apostles in Acts 1:8 that the power and anointing they will receive will give them boldness, courage, insight ability, confidence and authority to do the work of evangelism.

The anointing of God upon your life is to do the work of ministry first. That is the primary purpose. When you do these, then the numerous benefits of the anointing will be yours.

It gives you healing, prosperity, protection, frustrates the token of the liars, and makes you untouchable to the powers of darkness. For you to receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit, beloved, you must fulfil the following basic requirements: You must be born again. You must be baptised with the Holy Spirit. If God has been calling you to do a particular assignment in His vineyard, you must answer that call.

You must develop intimacy with the Holy Spirit. You must be addicted to the word of God and prayer. You must pay the price by being hungry and thirsty for the Holy Spirit, being fervent in prayer, being dead to flesh, being broken. Also, you should engage in purposeful fasting, have persistent faith in God and openness of your spirit and mind.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit upon your head will only work if you are humble, obedient to God’s command as well as faithfully and constantly worshipping Him. Worship brings down the anointing.

You must avoid sin at all cost, avoid extra attention or questionable closeness to the opposite sex, avoid flattery, anger, adultery, bitterness, pride of achievement, laziness, unforgiving spirit, and so on. All these are anointing destroyers. The anointing of God upon your head shall not be destroyed, in Jesus’ name.

Beloved, the anointing is sweet and pleasant. Give it all it takes to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the anointing.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING
1) The anointing to finish well in the race of life, fall on me now, in the name of Jesus Christ.

2) Holy Spirit , disgrace my oppressors, in the name of Jesus Christ.

3) Pollutants of anointing in my foundation, die now, in the name of Jesus Christ.

EVENING
4. Holy Spirit, possess my life with Your fullness, in the name of Jesus Christ.

5. The enemies of the presence of the Holy Spirit in my life, die now, in the name of Jesus Christ.

6 The oil of heaven shall not dry up in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.

7. Anointing of backwardness in my life, dry up now, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Beloved Reader, the sweetest way to enjoy all-round blessings from God in this Year 2021 is to make Jesus Christ your personal Lord & Saviour.  Remember! the Lord Jesus in John 3:3 says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless ye are born again, ye cannot see the kingdom of God.”
