MFM Topic, Fri 24 May 24: from insult to result (2)
PRAISE & WORSHIP:

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 16:3-16
And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.
4 And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
5 And Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: the Lord judge between me and thee.
6 But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thine hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.
7 And the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.
8 And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.
9 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.
10 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
11 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard thy affliction.
12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
13 And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?
14 Wherefore the well was called Beerlahairoi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
15 And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son’s name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.
16 And Abram was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to Abram
MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 18:14 –
“Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
What God cannot do does not exist.

Insult terminator, Jesus Christ, terminate, in the name of Jesus.
FRI 24 MAY MESSAGE:
The worst insult that can happen to a human is to have him or her mocked by the slave that he or she has purchased with his or her money. Such was the fate of Sarah. She gave her maid to her husband as wife, and immediately the maid got pregnant, her mistress was despised in her eyes( verse 4). What more can be worse than this?
Dearly beloved, according to today’s Fire Scripture, Hagar mocked Sarah, whereas it is customary among the people of Mesopotamia for a wife who could not have children to have her servant bear children for her. The children would then belong to the wife. This was what she did by giving Hagar to Abraham and she received the insult of her life.
In the same Genesis chapter 18, Abraham and Sarah received heavenly visitors and that marked the end of Sarah’s insult (verses 13-14).
The good Lord of heaven will bring an end to your insult, in the name of Jesus. God continued to follow up on Sarah’s case until her insult was totally terminated.
Let’s look at Genesis 21:1-2, “And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as He has spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.” So we see here that Isaac, the son of promise was born, thereby putting an end to Sarah’s insult.
Dear reader of this devotional, there is nothing God cannot do when the set time comes. Has the enemy stolen your day of joy and celebration? He did it to Rachel. Her day of joy and celebration was stolen and given to her sister, Leah (Genesis 29:23). Jacob served Laban, his uncle, for seven years to marry Rachel, but on the day of the wedding, Laban exchanged Rachel and gave Leah, her sister, to Jacob. But God eventually advocated for her.
Beloved, I want you to know that God still fights for His children and still moves them from insult to result. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. I strongly advise you to give your life to Jesus now, if you have not. He will move you from insult to result.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Any power mocking God in my life, be disgraced and die, in the name of Jesus.
2. O God, arise and be God in my situation, in the name of Jesus.
3. Let the power of the Almighty overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Strong man of our house chasing me in the dream, you are a liar, be paralysed and die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Yokes and covenant of mockery of our family break and scatter, in the name of Jesus.
6. I silence the voice of shame, in the name of Jesus.
7. Let God arise and let my shame be terminated, in the name of Jesus.
