BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: HOSEA 14; JOEL 1 HEBREWS 3, HEBREWS 4

PRAISE & WORSHIP:

1 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
that calls me from a world of care,
and bids me at my Father’s throne
make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
my soul has often found relief,
and oft escaped the tempter’s snare
by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

2 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
the joys I feel, the bliss I share
of those whose anxious spirits burn
with strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
where God my Savior shows his face,
and gladly take my station there,
and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

to him whose truth and faithfulness

FIRE SCRIPTURE:GENSIS 37: 3-11
³ Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

⁴ And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

⁵ And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

⁶ And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:

⁷ For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

⁸ And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

¹⁰ And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

5~~~12~~~23 PROPHETIC WORD: 
The God of Heaven will send you help today and your dreams will come true in the name of Jesus.

05~~~12~~~23 MESSAGE:

Having proved that vision is extremely important in leadership, let us identify the features of a vision that can produce leaders like Moses, Joseph, Paul and so on. The first feature is that the vision must come from God to your spirit. It may not come through dream or a blinding light but by way of a deep conviction from God that there are certain things He wants you to accomplish. Often, a sense of destiny comes with it.

The second feature is that your vision will be tested. The vision God gave to Joseph went through years of testing. Though anointed as king, David’s vision went through testings before it was fulfilled. In each of these instances, it was as if the vision would no longer be fulfilled, but God proved Himself faithful. Beloved, people will test and question your vision. It is your responsibility to be certain it is from God and ensure that no one stops you from giving it your best commitment and achieving it.

The third feature is that your vision needs to be incubated. The incubating period is the time you patiently allow the vision to be planted in your spirit. You achieve this through times of fasting, prayer and meditation. As you meditate, the Holy Spirit will begin to clarify to you the details of your God-given vision, the strategy and timing as well as the people who will assist you in implementing and fulfilling the vision. When you allow your vision to go through incubation, you will not begin in the spirit and slip over to the flesh.

The fourth feature of a vision that can produce great leaders is to write it down. Habakkuk 2:2-3 says, “Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets…” When you write down your vision, you are not likely to forget it; you will find it clearer and easier to share. The last feature is that you must run with your vision. Some people will also read or hear your vision and be moved by God to assist you in fulfilling it. The Bible says that one will put a thousand to flight while two will put ten thousand to flight.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING
1. I reject any vision from the devil, in the name of Jesus.
2. I cover my divine vision with the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
3. I receive the grace for patience and success when my vision is tested, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. O God, raise men and women after Your heart to help me in fulfilling my vision, in the name of Jesus.

5. I declare that my vision will not lack material and spiritual resources, in the name of Jesus.

6. Powers tampering with the divine timing for the fulfilment of my dream, die, in the name of Jesus.

7. I overcome the spirit of manipulation and perversion in my life and destiny, by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
