MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: A good relationship is one in which your partner accepts your past, supports your present and encourages your future.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: Every serpentine tongue assigned against your marriage shall receive dumbness, in the name of Jesus.

Marriage is not a joke. One of the biggest problems in our world is the careless manner in which people get married. Marriage was not ordained by man, it is a divine institution. It was ordained by God who saw that Adam was lonely, so He made him a partner and brought her to him (Gen. 2:23, 28).

Marriage will continue until Jesus comes again. It is very important to know God’s word before embarking on the journey of marriage. This is very vital. Marriage is a journey of two people. You must be ready to work it out and build it on a solid rock because it determines the success of your destiny.

God created Adam and gave him dominion over everything in the garden, and afterwards gave him a help meet. (the right partner). God meant good for mankind. That was why He made them male and female. He asked them to continue to be fruitful and multiply. That is why choosing the right partner must not be compromised. If you choose wrongly, you can live in crises throughout your life time.

Marriage can make or mar your destiny. It can be heaven or hell on earth. You must understand God’s purpose of marriage and the importance of choosing the right partner. That is why marriage is not for boys and girls but for mature minds. Obedience to God’s word is vital to having a successful marriage and family.

You must be prepared for the new responsibility as you go into it. How can you know your right partner? You can know your right partner by revelation. That is, through the different ways that God speaks to His children.

The choice you make must be backed up by the word of God. In Proverbs 21:19, we find Solomon counselling his son on the right partner: “It is better to dwell in the wilderness than with a contentious and an angry woman.”

Proverbs 25:24 says, “It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than with a brawling woman and in a wide house. The best lesson we can learn from these is that the key to a good marriage is to be with the right partner, and the key to being the right partner is to ensure that your ways please the Lord.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Every evil hand raised against my marriage, Holy Ghost fire, paralyse them, in the name of Jesus.

2. Holy Ghost fire, take over the foundation of my marriage, sanitise it and let it flourish, in the name of Jesus.

3. You the stronghold that is frustrating my effort at getting my right partner, die, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. Every curse issued against my marriage, break and release me today, in the name of Jesus.

5. My Father, arise and bring my marriage partner to me, in the name of Jesus.

6. O Lord, make a way for me concerning my marriage, in the name of Jesus.

7. Every evil chain tying down my marriage, break and scatter, in the name of Jesus.
