Topic for 13 August: A GLIMPSE INTO ETERNITY

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: Every power that does not want you to have peace shall die in the name of Jesus.

MESSAGE:

The devotional study of today is equally an eye opener. There is the story of a brother who was an interpreter in the church and who suddenly died. His wife sent to his people to come and bury him. Before they came, his corpse had been kept in the mortuary. But, when they came to collect his body from the mortuary on the fourth day of his death, they found tears in his eyes.

The strange thing again was the fact that he opened his eyes and started talking. He said that immediately he died, he found himself in a tunnel of darkness, a darkness that was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. But inside the tunnel there was a narrow path, so narrow that only one hand could move in it sideways, move one leg after the other. He said that, by the side of the narrow path was a wide road where were lots of people. But at the end of it, was a big abyss from where was an-inferno.

He said that the rate at which people, including school girls, were pouring into the fire was as if a tipper was emptying sand on a construction site. But he did not find any other person on the narrow path, which he said, led to a very high mountain.

He said that, occasionally, he would nearly fall but someone would appear before him and would say, “Do not fall.” He kept on moving, until he got to the top where there were angels who had one small television set, which was about the size of a shoe-polish can.

He said that immediately anyone arrived there, they asked for his name. And, on mentioning his name, every sin that he had committed, right from when he was an infant, would appear on the television set. He said that, at a stage while they were relaying the sins of a certain man, including the incest he committed with his younger sister, the man cried: “Please, switch it off.

I don’t want to look at it again. Switch it off, because it is terrible.” The brother said that he also heard the scream of another sister who had died in his church about three years back and who, before her death, used to sing a special number.

This sister was boiling and shouting with her soprano voice in hell fire. When the brother heard her shouts, he started crying. It was then that he shed the tears that his relations saw at the mortuary.

Beloved, you must have eternity in view. Focus you attention on the coming glory.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Every millipede concoction working against my life, die, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every Beelzebub web cast over my life, clear off, in the name of Jesus.

3. Every satanic prophecy against my destiny, be nullified, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

1. Every witchcraft concourse against my life, crush to pieces, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every backbone of disfavour, break, in the name of Jesus.

3. I crush every witchcraft lion roaring against my favour, in the name of Jesus.

4. Every gate of evil delay, be broken, in the name of Jesus.
