Promising Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Femi Fapetu has taken to social media to announce that his move to the Manchester City academy is now in the bag.
The 14-year-old was heavily courted by the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool before agreeing terms with the Premier League, Premier League 2 and U18 national champions.
Femi Fapetu ended his association with Arsenal in the summer, following in the footsteps of his sibling Bayo who switched to Derby County on scholarship terms.
Femi has spoken of his happiness at joining City, labeling the Citizens the best club in Europe.
“Happy to announce I’ve signed for @mancity, the best club in Europe,” Femi Fapetu wrote on Instagram.
“I’m delighted to be joining this great club and look forward to a wonderful journey ahead.. all thanks to The Most High. Let’s get this! Come on City !”
Fapetu is a midfielder capable of performing multiple roles in the center of the pitch.
